Unlike some on this board I was a teenager when JFK was killed. I remember every detail of that day. I remain unconvinced that there isn’t more to the story. That said, Trump is such a boob that any clarification he would offer cannot possibly clear up anything.
I was 12 and about 12 miles from where it happened.
I later worked for a lawyer who would have been Jack Ruby’s appellate lawyer if he had lived long enough to be tried.
I’m still convinced Oswald acted alone.

That’s one that Donnie most likely really knows. In his business as a New York real estate developer, he’s spent years schmoozing with the guys who do those things. You can bet that’s the only secret he will keep – the prospect of waking to a horse head in your bed is a great incentive to shut the hell up.

The documents’ release is mandated by law! Only Trump could make complying with the law sound like he’s doing us a YUUGE favor. Folks, we have a full diaper running this country.
Run for office- the 2018 elections are just a year away! And if Trump and Louie Gohmert can get elected what’s to stop a qualified candidate?
Become a Precinct Committee Officer, sometimes it’s a Ward officer. You’ll meet with neighborhood Dems and get out the vote. Find good citizens willing to run for office.
Register people to vote. If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led Voter run-around help them do that.
Run for School Board. Make sure Civics is being properly taught. Think a majority of America knows how government works? Just 26% of eligible voters in America voted for Trump and half of eligible voters stayed home last November. Today’s 12-year olds will be voting for President in 8 years.
Run for Mayor, City Council, County Commissioner, Borough Assembly.
Get appointed to your Planning Commission. Know everything going on in your community.
Run for State Legislature or Congress. The next census is in 2020, just over 2 years from now, then we’ll redraw Congressional Districts. Get rid of GERRYMANDERING! Safe GOP seats gave us such intellectual giants as Louie Gohmert and Steve King. In most cases it’s the state Legislature that draws Congressional boundaries. Make it FAIR, OPEN and HONEST!
Overturn Citizens United. Money is NOT speech and Corporations are NOT people- at least not until Texas executes one.
Overturn any voter ID laws that are clearly an attempt to disenfranchise.

I remain disturbed by the part where he joins the Marines, spends all of boot and basic infantry training spouting Marxism without anyone in the Corps noticing at the height of the Cold War and then gets assigned to be one of the guards for the inconceivably secret U-2 program, is allowed to defect with a head full of information about our secret spy plane, then is allowed to come back after basically being treated as a spy by the USSR, and then spends time in New Orleans handing out leaflets for the “Fair Play for Cuba Committee” whose New Orleans office was right upstairs from that of right wing extremist, front man for right wing plots in Latin America and former FBI agent Guy Banister.
Also the part where you can see the air blowing out of John Connally’s mouth as the car comes out on the other side of the sign in the Zapruder film while Kennedy is already holding his throat.
Except for that, and the remarkable string of suspicious deaths of material witnesses in the years that followed, I don’t find any of the other evidence of a conspiracy particularly credible.

I know for certain that Jack Ruby died of a heart attack and I also know that nobody who had a complex plan to assassinate a president would have included Jack in the conspiracy because he was highly unreliable. He was clinically depressed and an alcoholic.

I was only six – but remember the trauma felt in my family by the assassination very clearly. Most agree there is more to the story we’ve been told. Its important for the public to finally know the facts – but I am already anticipating that if there is explosive information, the trumpists/bannonites will use it to further confuse and erode trust in our institutions. The timing is unfortunate.
I didn’t say all the pieces fit together neatly or that I thought there was a conspiracy. Just saying that that’s the stuff among all the vast piles of stuff the conspiracy theorists have turned up that makes me itch.
On the other hand, the most convincing evidence he was just a free-lance left wing nutjob was Mariana’s testimony indicating he previously tried to kill Ted Walker.
I thought Ruby died of cancer, though.

He was up in Greenville in jail awaiting trial and I was sure it was a heart attack but maybe I misremember.
What I find so strange in general is that it is always our progressive presidents and heroes who get killed and it was almost unbelievable how that kept unrolling through Bobby and Martin.
I don’t think there was a conspiracy but one could still pop up.
I haven’t seen the Jack Ruby file my boss had since 1981. That’s been a minute.
He forgets a lot of things, but he will have a perfect answer to that one: “All those black marks you see, not many people know this, but that’s redaction. Redaction is the things that you can’t allow ordinary people to see. Only people with special clearance can see redactions. I’ve seen the redactions, and I can tell you this – Ted Cruz’s father is everywhere in there. Believe me.”

I doubt it. I’ve never seen any indication that he’s remotely interested in policy at all. I’d be shocked if he can tell you one provision in his tax plan or budget. He didn’t write them, has no clue what’s in them, and therefore doesn’t even know he needs to distract from them.
