It’s called being passive aggressive, and is generally considered to be a character flaw.

Well, you forgot the notion made popular from Reagan to FOX News, through Dan Qyuale, Sara Palin, the NRA, Mitch McConnell and the GOP Freedom Caucus, that for the Right, “elites” and especially “global elites” means people who have empirical expertise who disagree with their simplistic, seat of the pants, neanderthal white nationalistm…

Listening to Trump is pretty much all one needs to know about Brexit.

Ironic of him to be saying that in Scotland which voted decisively against…

Nailed it. One more step forward in the long program of undermining democratic institutions for the benefit of the wealthiest and most powerful. Call it Neo-feudalism.

Except in the South, where it is considered to be a very polite way of telling someone to f-off…

In my neck of the woods here in The South (Virginia), we say it a couple ways: 1) “Why, bless his heart.” 2) “Why, bless his little heart.” Either way can be taken as a sweet compliment, but #2 is usually meant as a verbal smack because of the added “little.” It really depends on the direction of the preceding conversation or topic, but the inflection used is the dead giveaway.

ETA: #1 can most definitely be a smack-down as well, but, again, it’s in the inflection.

Got a Manhattan friend who said “I finally figured it out! ‘Bless your heart’ is what Texans say when a New Yorker would say ‘You’re a fuckin’ MORON!’”

I was born and raised in Michigan and my mother used to say “bless his pointy little head” with similar context-based meanings…

Well, it sure is good he’s visiting Scotland. I’m sure they’ll be clamoring to help him celebrate this result.

Yep, a guy who claims to be worth $10,000,000,000 with world-wide business ventures is not a member of the “global elite.” I would ask who believes that bull but we already know.

What fu*king know nothing he is. He actually congratulated the Scots for “Taking their country back!” They voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU.

This morning he’s saying, and I quote, “I called it. This is great. Obama doesn’t know what’s going on.” WHEN…just the a bit more than a week past, the dumb bastard didn’t even know what ‘Brexit’ was:
