I hope he regaled them about the horrors of his personal Vietnam fighting off STDs in midtown Manhattan. Someday, I’m sure, someone will erect an erect monument on his behalf.

BS!!! If that were true the country would flood congress and the White House with phone calls when we are sent to some Military Industrial Complex phony war. We are cannon fodder for the 80 percent plus of citizens that do not serve and never will serve. There is a name for these people.

Trump has the unmitigated gall to have consistently avoided military service, criticize John McCain and a Gold Star family, inconsistently support and then disdain America’s military involvements, all the time braying with such bravado about “Making America Great Again?” It is the height of hypocrisy! He is an embarrassment to the office!

This man, Capt. Bone Spurs, should be banned from Arlington. I cannot name one person in his family who has been in the military. And trump going to a military school in high school doesn’t count.

Trump never fails to be self serving and make every tweet and pronouncement about him and how great he is.
It’s insulting.

There’s nothing sadder, more tawdry, or more infuriating than to see this psychopathically sadistic and uncaring entity pretending to have deeply felt human emotions. He uses our war dead the way he uses every other human being. Sickening. God damn him to hell.

Ever a humble man of the people.

When you’re a B-list reality TV star, everyone’s a prop.

OK. OK. Quick story to wash our mouths out with. I had a two-day layover in Hawaii once on a fishing trip to Christmas Island, and my buddies and I fished one day and did the tourist thing another. We went to Pearl Harbor, and they take you in a launch to the Arizona memorial, and the kid who ran the boat looked about 19, the kind of kid who looks like he ought to be home shooting hoops in the gym, not standing there in a uniform. But before we left the dock he made a solemn little speech, and it wasn’t perfunctory; he meant it. He told us this wasn’t a tourist site, it was a grave, and we were requested to conduct ourselves accordingly. And you could see that he regarded the men who died in that ship as brothers, even if they died decades before he was born. That’s the only Memorial Day speech I need or will listen to today. One human being genuinely remembering, with respect and honor, those who were lost.

You all don’t understand.
Trump doesn’t like them because they did not die for him,he only likes those who live for him.
Trump is one of the lowest life forms any country has ever had.

My father (WWII and Korean War vet, and career Army) is buried in Arlington Cemetery. If he were alive today, he’d be giving Trump the finger.

“from privilege and from poverty.”
until the Gulf War - because from then on, with no draft, it was rich man’s war. poor man’s fight. As those fine strong young Romneys and their ilk will attest.
