Far as I know, Trump hasn’t blamed Price publicly for the Obamacare repeal debacle, but that has to be weighing on his mind.
But it’s OK if other departments and White House aides still grab those fancy private jets. Of course it is.
Trump better be careful he doesn’t drive Price away – it wouldn’t be easy to find somebody else so utterly and absolutely devoted to shred every bit of HHS’s mission (well beyond “merely” sabotaging Obamacare, of course).
Well, somebody’s gotta go flying. Amirite?
I have a better idea that benefits the country in a much greater way: let’s keep the private jets flying and just freeze Tom Price.
…Price’s pricey private plane proclivity.
Nice try, Esme, but this one’s still got you beat.
“…Price’s pricey private plane proclivity.”
Applicable allieration agreeably awes adults.
“That’s something that we’re certainly looking into…We’re going through this process,” Sanders replied. “We’re going to conduct a full review and we’ll see what happens.”
Looking into it?
Going through a process?
Conducting a full review?
My G-d, they are serious about this!
Maybe Trump will “Drain the Swamp” and fire this asshole… There’s a first time for everything…
Let’s see just how eager Price is to go meet the little people now that he doesn’t get to take a Lear 55.
Price initially claimed he’d halted the private plane travel while under review, but took two additional flights. For once, Tiger Beat on the Potomac is being useful.
Ethics start at the top. There’s a reason why Trump’s people are doing things that Obama’s people never would, because Trump does things Obama never would. When the boss sets the tone that it’s ok to grab whatever you can get your hands on, the underlings notice. Bad bosses only care if it comes back to bite them, while good bosses don’t hire cretins in the first place. But as usual, nothing bad is ever Trump’s fault. That’s also a trait of bad bosses.
“Look, we got caught. I get it. Can we please just normalize this and move on. Let’s not politicize a scandal right after it is uncovered.”
Mnuchin is a more enthusiastic toady. Pruitt is saving the coal miners (wink, wink).
I ask you, what good is it to take away services from the middle class and cut taxes for the rich if you can’t gloat over it with chartered flights?
Serious about talking about it, anyway.
Yes, Esme has been on a tear lately…
Sounds like a script from Yes, Minister to me. Sir Humphrey Appleby will get to the bottom of this. Eventually…
Sounds like he planned the visits to family and friends first and then found a place nearby to make a totally useless appearance “on business”
