Very OT, but delicious from NY Times about Bill O’Reilly:
The employee, Juliet Huddy, had said that Mr. O’Reilly pursued a sexual relationship with her in 2011, at a time he exerted significant influence over her career. When she rebuffed his advances, he tried to derail her career, according to a draft of a letter from her lawyers to Fox News that was obtained by The New York Times.
Oh, yeah, I’ve seen that too. I suspect that plays into the anti-Obamacare stance for a small slice of the electorate: why should their tax dollars go to help people who, not living righteously, deserve whatever bad health comes their way?
(Of course, anything that happens to themselves or people they like can be attributed to plain bad luck, and suffering is in that case a sign of piety, and an opportunity for prayer.)
Oddly related: Comrade Coir Coif will be meeting later today with his choice to be the next director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Daniel Shenton.
“We had a very good talk about how gravity actually works. It’s just a theory, you know. A tremendous theory,” Drumpf said. “Daniel is a very smart guy and will be a really great addition to my team at NASA.”
This is also part of the discussion. He’ll never be trotted out like other presidential children if any of this is true, and the immigrant will never be ready for prime time either. In comparison to First Ladies who have come before, she’ll be a recluse.
Rosie O’Donnell first brought that up in a tweet accompanied by a video compilation of Barron exhibiting “tell-tale” behaviors of Autism Spectrum Disorder. She didn’t do it to be mean but, rather, mentioned what a great opportunity it was to talk about ASD.
Melanoma, of course, quickly called out the lawyers. You can be sure that if he is in fact autistic the lawsuit, like so many other idle threats from the Hair Legal Force, will be quickly forgotten.
You’ll notice that he’s rarely trotted out and used as a prop. Personally, I suspect that if he were “normal” Drumpf would be using him as a prop every chance he got. You have to admit he’s a lot cuter than Uday and Qusay.
Also, I read somewhere that “more mature” men siring children increases the chances for ASD.
I’m not repeating what I’ve read about Barron with glee. If he is autistic and if it’s because he wasn’t vaccinated (and there’s no comment from either of his parents on that), it’s a very sad situation. Of course if the trumpet family lived in California (big laugh right here), Barron would be required by state law to be vaccinated before he could enter school. The anti-vax people here though will not go quietly into that dark night.
Sometimes Barry says that stuff in code. If he says we shouldn’t be stupid and hateful, Donald doesn’t realize he’s being alluded to. If you say “Donald Trump is a big stinky poopy-head” he gets it, but anything more abstract and his attention wanders.
