I too was in school during Watergate and I remember a bipartisan committee (Sam Ervin, god love him) with Sam Dash doing a lot of the questioning. Included both senators and reps. But then again, I may be misremembering. Oh, maybe it was just composed of Senators ā¦ Howard Baker, others.

I was also a grad student in ā74, political science. Needless to say I was very interested in the Nixon story. At the beginning of the hearings there wasnāt much support for impeachment; however, as Ervin, Rodino, etc. dug into the history and activities of the badministration, awareness of its criminality sunk in. He was slipping down precipitously when the Saturday Night Massacre hit the headlines. The tapes finished him off.
I think this is the history NDP wants to repeat.
Remember, Nixon was much smarter than Donnie Moscow. He will fuck-up.

And Ervin did a good job on that committee and elsewhere.
But churlish as it may seem, recall also that Ervin, opposing the decision in Brown v. Board, helped write the āSouthern Manifestoā along with Thurmond and Russell.

Only 2 options. Either Parscale was chin-deep with Manafort and the Russians and somehow escaped Muellerās attention, or Parscale was so incompetent that heās the reason why Manfort felt he needed Kilimnik and Cambridge Analytica to step in and lend a helping hand. My vote is option 2.

Well said. We are in a bubble. Most people are focused on earning a living, taking their kids to little league or dance, worrying about bills and retirement, but we can only hope to heck that many are at least aware of something nagging at their periphery, of a slight stench in the air that wonāt go away, or that there is a cloud of gnats just above their head. How many know that the Wash Post has documented over 9,000 untruths from Trumpās mouth alone? Not many, and many of his supporters likely crow about how he trounces the Ds and / or minorities with his bullsh*t, with his constant diarrhea mouth.

Itās like being an opera lover. Itās not a mass interest, itās a niche thing. Most people struggle to understand why others donāt share their interests. But if you donāt make that effort, I donāt think you can understand politics in any kind of sophisticated way.

Media are reporting today that Dotard T rumppās 2020 Campaign Chairman, Brad Parscale, declared that there are actually 10,001 holes in Blackburn Lancashire, and not the 10,000 as was originally reported back in 1967. This revelation immediately resulted in millions of confused, yet enthralled Americans boarding planes to England to verify the truth of this claim for themselves.
