I think “fake news” is when the reporter and the interviewee collude in advance as to the topic of the interview. What gave Drumpf the impression that the McCain question “wasn’t supposed to come up”? there’s the real question here.

I’ve thought from the beginning that there has to be a point at which the GOP, of which Fox is simply their chief spokesperson, finally gets off the train. Nobody loves Donald John Trump. Nobody. His mouth breathing base loves an idea of him, they love him in the same way that a teenager may love a pop star from afar. But not no one that knows him personally loves him and there has never been any reason for the GOP not to eventually look for an off ramp. Sure, it’s been subtle, but there has been an excruciatingly slow pivot away from him. All I can surmise is that the powers that be within the GOP have signaled to FOX that now is the time to begin the unTrumping. Between PP’s ever quickening devolution and the increasing slights at FOX, whatever is about to hit the fan, be it the Mueller report or a coming arrest, we’re reaching the end of the line.
