Discussion for article #244509
Oh, right. This is the time when Hillary starts doing things that make me throw up in my mouth a little. I’m getting deja vu from the last time she ran.
Huh? You’ve got a problem with a still-grieving mother who’d like to help elect a President who might work to save other mothers from the grief she’s known? On what planet is that a bad thing? Huh?
Well, I hope you will be practical enough to hold your nose and vote for her anyway. Sanders, tragically, is not electable in our country. Clinton will be the eventual nominee and if we librul-progressive-socialist types don’t get it together (literally) then we will be dealing with President Trump or Cruz. (shudder…!) I would have to move to Canada…
Edit: changed “smart” to “practical” because I can’t manage a strikethrough, but would really like to have said practical while meaning smart.
Last time Clinton ran, the thing she started doing was being a popular Secretary of State. Pretty impressive. You must have a low-threshold gag reflex.
Consider joining Opus Dei and you could also self flagellate at the sound of HRC’s name.
Nah, just a chip on his/her shoulder. Look at the commenting history. These are the people who could cost us the election…and when we’re dealing with a GOPer/Teatroll running amok in the WH in 2017, they’re the same folks who will tell us we’re getting what we deserve and that whatever the GOPer/Teatroll POTUS is doing is no different than what HRC would’ve been doing anyway. They are the angry lazy-thinker crowd who pretends there’s no difference between the Dems and GOP, vote for unicorns and then just add another layer of angry when their unicorns don’t materialize, turning that anger towards the people who would be their allies instead of those who are the true enemy.
I mean, you have to be wearing some pretty fancy tinfoil blinders to immediately assume this is some sort of “sleazy Clinton maneuver” for this woman to endorse Clinton. Frankly, I don’t see how you can even arrive at the conclusion that this is a bad thing unless you’re so mindlessly hellbent against Clinton that you interpret as bad anything that even makes you worry it is a positive for her.

I have to laugh – because I was one of those railing against Clinton and hoping against hope someone else viable would present because I was so worried she would lose. I still feel wary, but I agree with you now 100% that we have no choice in the matter. We will have to ACTIVELY support her – and to do that effectively, speaking from experience, means convincing people to do the right thing for everyone’s sake – not just let them please their own self-righteousness. I have this same problem in my own home – my husband is a diehard Sanders supporter. He vows not to vote at all if he doesn’t get his way. So – surprise – this is why I come to make my political comments here!
I hear you Sista!
