Just saw this on Vox. On WaPo also.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when the Netherlands ambassador denies the muslim comments, calling it “fake news”, then denies he called it fake news when shown the video.
The reporter’s reaction to this bozo is my Christmas gift.

Here’s another gem for trump’s tire necklace.
It’s in line with trump’s view of himself compared to anyone else. Don’t know for certain it’s true but it is in trump’s character. He sees himself as vastly superior to everyone in all cases and including any skill. He even called himself the best baseball player in New York when he was in his twenties. I kinda doubt that assertion by him considering the Yankees at the time.
I’m a retired scientist. I can imagine trump walking into my former lab and asserting he knows more about Optical Coherence Tomography than I do. Just sayin’
I still respect the office…I sure as hell do not respect the current occupant.

Since this site may not be updated today, I will add my nomination for a top 10 story in 2017. The NYT is breaking a story quoting Trump in a June 2017 cabinet meeting as saying that “all Haitian immigrants have AIDS” and, regarding those coming from Nigeria, “Sure, when they see the U.S. they’ll never go back to their huts in Africa.” The White House is desperately trying to discredit the report, but who would honestly be surprised that Trump would say such things? This is who the man is (and it isn’t going to help uphold his immigration policies in the courts).
