The “read more” link for #1 (1st Amendment) is broken.

That’s odd, when I click on the link I get a popup that says “The Federal government has determined that this article violates the new US citizen’s terms of use policy. For news and articles deemed to be more in line with the new amendments, please restrict your news gathering to sites that are certified to deliver opinions and news more aligned with the original intentions of the Founding Fathers like Fox News or Breitbart.”

There’s no link for #1

I can’t read the article—too depressing. I am looking forward to 2018 and flipping the house and getting rid of this asshole.

You and me both. This may sound ‘hyper-wishful’, but an indictment prior to the blue wave in November would be stellar.

Because there are no new stories up this morning (which is okay because it’s Sunday and Christmas Eve), can I just say for the record here, after seeing stories on other sites that PP is attacking the FBI (again) that this president needs to go fuck himself.

I keep imagining that Mueller is going to drop the really big stuff about high-level GOP leaders collusion a week before the mid-terms to make sure it’s a crushing defeat. A soccer-playing Jesus-like communist can dream, right?

1. Priebus: Trump Considering Amending Or Abolishing The 1st Amendment

My take on this now and when Josh posted it was and continues to be…trump has zero idea of what is in the Constitution, how amendments are made or removed and what the powers of his so called office are. I doubt he has learned much about the Constitution since 1/20/17. Just a few days ago his new National Security statement was issued and it is specific that we might ignore treaties if necessary or expedient. This totally misses Article 6 wherein it says the Constitution and treaties are the supreme law of the land. Further …for trump to advocate changing the Constitution goes directly against his oath of office. But when did promises or oaths ever mean a damned thing to trump? Marriage vows included.

Drip drip drip…

A week before the midterms would make folks remember it. I have a longer memory so Christmas was fine for me. In any case "Whatever the fuck sends him packing* will be cool for me. Especially if there is jail time involved. See, this is different than Watergate in that Mueller is pursuing criminal issues where Nixon was gonna be impeached and that only extends to removal from office… Nixon was never named as a indicted co-conspirator. Just unnamed.

Trump, just as any other citizen, can advocate changing the Constitution through the regular process of amendment. What he cannot legitimately do is ignore and violate it.

There is the part in the oath that goes "“And will to the best of my ability…preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” That was my point. How does one who took an oath to “preserve, protect and defend” then more or less demand removal of a bedrock freedom we enjoy when he’s offended because he isn’t getting fawning praise from a newspaper? Does he want some cheese with that whine?
Advocating is one thing… demanding is quite another.

I don’t forget much, yet.
I seem to remember a whole giant bigly list that has all the ingredients of this idiots self imposed reason for living.
Been a busy year to the detriment of the good ole USA
So with that said:
All I want for Christmas is to know that the GOP is a dying breed and will be placed in the History Books as " The failures of Democracy".
Everybody else, best wishes and by Jan 2020, all will be BLUE if we push it hard enough with all the tools available to us.
Lots of work to do.

Happy Holidays, everyone!
I refuse to say the “M.C” greeting because of that fat-ass fucking traitor in the White House and his shit-for-brains propaganda network.

My late mother thought that this was the most beautiful piece of music written in the history of the world. And besides, what would the holiday season be without “The Nutcracker”?
