Discussion for article #245110

Weā€™re getting close to the point at which some of Sandersā€™s fans need some lessons in anger management.

Bernieā€™s rapid response director has a message.

if you support @berniesanders, please follow the senator's lead and be respectful when people disagree with you.

There is no difference between prejudice on the extremes, except the direction it is pointed. Paraphrasing Socrates from The Apology: What you donā€™t know is that you know nothing.

Or at least WATB management and, just possibly, a Dale Carnegie seminar.

Online Bernites simply have no conception of how much damage their constant whining, defensiveness and Paultard level paranoia does to their cause. Theyā€™re literally incapable of conceiving the possibility. Itā€™s gotten to the point where unless I consciously stop myself, I read their tweets and comments with a mental nasal whiner voice.

Yes, yes, because Mark Killian #Hillaryforprison, is obviously a Bernie bot and not a Republican.

Thatā€™s a good coping strategy. My personal favorite is when they combine a paranoid rant with a blanket statement that Obama has accomplished nothing and is no better than Bush.

I read the British papers daily. The Corbynistas are the same. True believers. Everyone else is to be silenced!

Well, that message is not working. Whenever I encounter a bunch of comments by Bernie supporters they unload a lot of really nasty comments about Sec. Clinton. It may be just a function of youth, who are not inclined to think before they unload their opinions, but it is unnerving to see so much hate among Democrats against an opposing candidate. I have to wonder how many of these people will vote for Hillary if she is the candidate.

I donā€™t believe it for a minute- It was just to obvious that the event was an attempt to anoint for the DNC :pensive: I donā€™t like it when the media thinks that the voters are gullible

Does that mean we are all Jon Snow?

IĀ“m not sure what ĀØOnline BernitesĀØ are, exactly, but I will say that online Hillarlyites who compare Sanders supporters to Paultards, and other such attempts at marginalizing ridicule, have no conception of how much damage they do to their cause.

Iā€™m a Sanders supporter who has never insulted Clinton or her supporters, because I genuinely like Hillary. I just think Bernieā€™s the better choice right now.

From my vantage, I think there are people on both sides lobbing divisive rhetoric, and denigrating each otherā€™s supporters. I wish it would stop, but it was like this in 2008 as well, so I know thatā€™s a futile hope.

That said, I donā€™t think painting all Sanders supporters with the same brush does any more good than making generalizations about Clintonā€™s supporters. Iā€™ll leave it at that.

When Bernie started this I said I wouldnā€™t say anything negative against him and I think Iā€™ve been able to pretty much maintain that pledge.

Some people get angry when I point out the dictionary definition of Socialism or say he canā€™t win. ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ

I read your comment then went looking for the ā€œangry nasty horribleā€ Bernie supporters and the awful comments. Iā€™m not seeing any??? The three tweets highlighted by the article are all from Right Wingers. So WTF are you talking about?
