I’m always late to the party here but have to ask if anyone knows if this town hall was boycotted by GOPers or was it a truly mixed crowd who cheered on the idea of impeachment? That’s some critical info that I wish had been included in this article. If the crowd was representative of the red district that Amash hails from then this signals a hidden sea change that media is not picking up on I would think.
Edit to add that now that I’ve read the comments it appears that question is being asked by several commenters as I suspected when I posted the original.

This has got to stick in Trump’s craw. That this “nobody” just got a standing ovation for calling for his impeachment.
I hope the Speaker also noticed. Let’s get Mueller and McGahn to testify soon and the DB and Mazars documents, then go wherever the evidence takes us. Hint: Impeachment.

My wife used to be witness to what Amash is going through many times…when she organized people, was laughed at and then belatedly told this, when she was successful:
“I was with you all the time.”
In the world of Trump, the reason that GOPPERs have not broken for sanity yet is because of McConnell, money, compromise, criminality, ideology and, above all, Blackmail and Leverage.
But…it takes much LESS of a number of people to turn against Trump than people realize …

One other comment about the Trumper who was all over Amash about FISA abuse. She accused him of violating his oath of office because he was not doing what his constituents in his Districted wanted. He reminded her that his oath was to the Constitution. She said no it was not. He came back and said yes it is and then her puzzling retort was -well it’s the same thing. I am thinking that Trumpers do not know much about their government and what that we have three co-equal branches. Constitution hogwash just do what I want!!

Have to admit that this is first day I have been able to stay on TPM for longer than 8 mins since Barr summarized the Mueller Report.
The two positive stories out of Texas and some GOP members calling out Trump’s siding with NK on Memorial Day and the lawyer who correctly and honestly uses the term, “radicalized” in connection with Fox news, all combine to make me feel like we just turned a corner as a country.

He called on a MAGA hat woman who went on about the deep state, Hillary Clinton, Mueller, etc and the crowd was booing her. It’s astounding how misinformed Trump supporters are. Just astounding. But, heartening that people seem to be waking up. Long way to go.

Remember one thing…the better we do against Trump the more emboldened others are to work against him. What Trump wants from us is a feeling of inevitability (of his success) and untouchability (of his criminality).
That is why, when he did something so simple as Obstruction with the House and Appeals with the courts he used the Roy Cohn Strategy to leverage that into the usual non-stop-attention-getting activity he has done every day he has been in office…
Even though catastrophic danger lurks within the evidence he is using Barr and the Appeals to hide
