I’m sure he’ll insist that he’ll let Mueller’s investigation proceed unencumbered, too, despite decrying its overreach. But hey, if there’s anything we’ve learned in the past two years, it’s the veracity, ethical forthrightness and honor of Trump and his appointees. Nothing to see here.

We know the only reason he was nominated is because Trump thinks Barr will protect him from Mueller. Will he? I don’t really know. But I seriously hope he does a better job protecting all of us than that racist elf who just left office.
Tough on crime, except when committed by older mean wearing suits. Then he facilitates it.
Since he’s only up for the job because Sessions was fired for refusing to interfere with it, he should have to state outright that he’ll recuse himself from overseeing the investigation as step one in the process. If he won’t do that then everything else is moot.
