Discussion: Tossed Salad: Before Tillerson Got The Axe, Trump Made Him Eat Wilted Salad

Somehow I think “CEO of ExxonMobil” and “sense of decency” are mutually exclusive…

No, they are all alpha-males who think that they are special and that what happened to all those other losers that Trump wraithed won’t happen to them…

Who writes the headlines here? Because I think this Stormy Daniels thing has tainted the reporting here.

Well, it was the diplomatic thing to do.

Yeah, that wilted salad was no accident.

I had trouble getting past this:

Trump was concerned about offending his guests in China

That may have been the agreed-upon talking point, but it’s far more believable that Trump ordered him to eat the salad to prove he was stronger than Tillerson.

This is the same man who has a nasty nickname for everyone, constantly declares others to be weak,: openly mocks people’s manner of speaking, their body language - their disabilities - and we’re to believe he was concerned about offending his guests?

Nope. Not buying it.

And he’s worse than a moron - he’s an a-hole.

Really? When has Trump been concerned about offending anyone?

So the world’s greatest negotiator instructs his secretary of state to swallow a deliberate insult to the US. I wonder if that’s the point where the chinese government knew they could roll trump whichever way they wanted, regardless of what he said.

I think that’s called watercress boarding. Rex is one tough bastard to endure that.

ASSOCIATED PRESS FEBRUARY 17, 2017
TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says President Donald Trump made him order meatloaf when they dined together at the White House this week.

Christie and his wife, Mary Pat, joined Trump at the White House on Tuesday.

The Republican governor said while guest hosting a New York sports talk radio show Thursday that Trump pointed out the menu and told people to get whatever they want. Then he said he and Christie were going to have the meatloaf.

‘‘This is what it’s like to be with Trump,’’ Christie said. ‘‘He says, ‘There’s the menu, you guys order whatever you want.’ And then he says, ‘Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.’’’

They might not start out that way but that sure is how they end up by the time they’re walked out of the building by security guards.

It’s hard to fathom what ugliness lives in Trump’s soul that he seems to actually relish humiliating the people that work for him. Except wife-beaters, of course.

It’s what he deserved.

Apparently major corporations are like the military. The way to the top is ass kissing and ignored humiliation. You get so use to it that you can’t respond.

I’ve seen dick-head, as well.
Isn’t the evolution of language wonderful?

I confess if I was on a working dinner with my boss and team and my boss said “hey, that shitty salad right there – eat it”, I don’t quite know how I’d respond. Maybe “bwuh”.

And I’m not exactly habituated to the military/megacorp lifestyle.

Not just those who work for him but also those who support him. Ryan, McConnell, the GOP Congressional caucus all of them.

Working for the Trump maladministration requires not possessing either self-esteem or intellectual self-respect.
We’re talking Republicans here----no positive qualities available.
