There was no downpour. It was hardly even a light rain. I watched it on TV. Trump said the same thing at the CIA where he said as soon as he started to speak the rain stopped.
Size isn’t important.
Oh, Kellyanne, don’t go there.
Y’all are missing it:
Trump and his shills are dominating Sunday news by claiming the press is picking on their numbers.
What’s missing? Any serious coverage of what happened yesterday, and what the massive turnouts of our citizenry represents.
In other words, once again Trump & Co. have succeeded in diverting attention from serious coverage of issues.
You know I was just gonna say the same thing.
They are trying to slither and slide away from the crap they created.
Won’t work.
Wtf is wrong with these people? If they would just stop talking about the crowd size that would be the end of it. But as long as we’re talking about crowd size, the women’s march kicked your ass.
It’s all about playing the victim.
They’re being oppressed by the press, or by feminists, or immigrants, or the “elite”.
It’s always someone and its ambrosia to Trump supporters. Keeps them engaged and on edge.
DJT doesn’t like getting upstaged by girls. That is all. Move on.
And do it again. Drive him nuts.
THIS. TPM (and the Sunday morning press), you are being played like a banjo. Ignore the bullshit and focus on the more significant story, fer christ sakes!
Picture not from inauguration.

That line of thought needs to die.
Folks can and should be able to concentrate on more than just one subject.
That second picture is Hopper-esque with the sad NaziFrog supporter in the window.
“The crowd size, it’s actually not a very animating topic to me for a very simple reason,” Conway said on ABC’s “This Week.”
I disagree, inversion. See: https://qz.com/690650/chinas-internet-propaganda-is-more-subtle-and-sophisticated-than-it-ever-has-been/
You are wrong. There has been serious coverage of yesterday’s events 24/7. And the Sunday Trump liars are being called out.
The significant story here isn’t the crowd size, it’s the fact that Trump obsesses about this trivial fact and anything which suggests that what he does isn’t the best and the biggest; it’s the fact that there’s something seriously wrong with Trump that he can’t let any negative story or criticism pass.
And, of course, the other significant story is the size of the protest gatherings yesterday. I was pleased to see so many people motivated to get out there and protest, but frankly I’ll see this as a really meaningful story if the outrage is actually turned into political activism. That story has yet to unfold.
Plus it was a very mild day, around 50 degrees. Obama in 2009 was one of the most bitterly cold days I can remember in Washington, down around zero F.
Because they really are that pathetically petty
