Tillerson is gutting the State Department. Why? That is a question I want answered and why Trump selected him when he didn’t know him beforehand. There’s something fishy here and it smells like Putin.

ā€œAdmittedly, the department could do a better job of communicating every single step along the way of the redesign process,ā€ State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said earlier in November.

You don’t need to communicate ā€œevery single step along the way,ā€ Heather. But it might have helped to give the people at State an idea of what Tillerson wanted the reorganized department to look like in the end - other than a pile of rubble, I mean.

Yes. Gutting the State Department will have perilous consequences for America down the road and let’s not forget this was also near the top of Putin’s wish list. But tax cuts for the billionaires is more important than safeguarding the country apparently.

Does anyone know if this person knew anything about State before being appointed to her job of reorganizing it?

There are major fundamental differences between private sector and government organizations that most private sector managers and consultants don’t understand, and the Dept, of State is very different from many other federal agencies.

Even an insider would have a difficult time, and it seems pretty unlikely that Tillerson would appoint a State insider to do that kind of job.

So the hatchetperson apparently got the hatchet – very interesting. If she willingly resigned, I have to wonder if it was to avoid having to give testimony to the Senate about State’s activities (or lack of).

The fascists win an election by getting fewer votes, then govern as if they won a massive mandate.

Another way of putting it: An administration that couldn’t even muster a plurality of votes shouldn’t be undertaking a radical reformation of our government.

The reality is they did win … and it doesn’t matter how … what matters now (and I include myself in this) is that we, as patriots need to step up to the plate and fight the ā€œfascistā€ takeover with any and every means possible … and that does not mean just making snarky comments to other members of the choir. I’m not sure how, but we need to come together in a mass effort to stop the wholesale abandonment on what has so far sustained and made our country what it was.

Funny how Tillerson can so correctly recognize the F-ing Moron in the Oval Office, but not the one in the mirror.

So now we know what Putin ordered Tillerson to do. Take down the State Department where knowledge of Russia and its misdeeds was a primary concern for its employees.

Putin rules!!

We don’t need no stinking State Department. We got Donald Trump. He makes all the decisions anyway. /s/

Of diplomatic posts - another sonic attack - now in Uzbekistan - Russians involved perhaps - perhaps suggests their involvement in the attacks on the embassies in Cuba?

Looking back historically, say, 100 years from now, it should be apparent that Rex Tillerson was our worst Secretary of State. Ever.

From the Department of Obvious Non-Coincidences:

Hollowing out the U.S. State Department and thereby weakening its diplomatic capabilities is welcome news to one Vladimir Putin.
