Discussion: Top House Republican: Man Killed His Wife 'Because The Woman Was Unfair'

Let me guess who’s going to be blamed more if no-fault is axed. The one “made from Adam’s rib”.

“She would be alive today if she had just given him what he demanded.”

Shit, you can say that about murderous bank robbers, rapists, mobsters and other assorted criminals. .

While I appreciate the “Call to Protect” charitable program, I would bet that the woman whose husband, a “big time guy in Highland Park…just gunned her down” had a cell phone. Sometimes you don’t get a chance to make your phone call. I guess she shouldn’t have “demanded something.”

“I understand he also nailed your wife’s head to a coffee table.”
“'E 'ad to! She transgressed the unwritten law!!”

One of my favorite all-time Python sketches. That one, “The Cheese Shop” and “Nudge! Nudge!” Thanks for a laugh this morning, we all could use one.

Wait, so this wasn’t a Sasha Baren-Cohen interview?

I can’t remember the names involved, but the Highland Park (rich area in Dallas) murder was a white, entitled rich guy who was in a nasty divorce and did think the wife and judge were being unfair to poor him. So he decided to blow his wife away. Much in the Cullen Davis mode.

Not a great example, Sessions

If only women would be fair to their husbands, there would be no more domestic violence.

OK. Got it.

What ever you do, do not hold a white guy responsible.
Something goes wrong, it’s the woman’s fault.

Judging by the stories so far today this must be Wacky Wednesday.

Nice reporting, Cameron!

How depressingly easy it is to read that. Twenty-eight shooters in schools. So far.

Generalizing, one would expect civil war in 3, 2, 1…

Guess you’re not interested having women vote for you, huh, Pete?

Isn’t every day Wacky Wednesday??? Feels like it, anyway…

This is what it sounds like when a really dumb person tries to explain a complex idea that they think they understand - but they don’t.

Republicans believe in nothing but wielding power over others, and they have a power hierarchy to enforce that. Men take all the credit and women all the blame, so it’s always women’s faults when men use their power against them. You’ll also notice this when men rape younger girls and play victim, like the teenage girl seduced them and forced them to rape her.

[Sessions points to example of guy who kills wife b/c “the wife and judge were being unfair to him”…]

Ah, yes. The time-honored “ADAM DEFENSE”. From the Bible, no less:

“It was the woman. She tempted me.”
~Adam
(Genesis)

Pro Tip: The “Adam Defense” encountered less success after the middle 20th Century, when
women began serving on juries.

I confess confusion.

First is the claim that the no-fault divorce system led to the husband being railroaded? But what if the husband was the proven a-hole in the relationship?

Second, are these loonies saying that the aggrieved person should employ a second amendment solution?

And third, is the push for a white, land-owning male only 2nd amendment solution?

I don’t think these guys like women. They should limit their interaction to females to stroke magazines.

Uh Pete, are you trying to say that the Big Time Highland Park guy was justified in killing his wife, because that’s what it sounds like.

You are SUCH an idiot.

In the bigger picture outside the no fault divorce foofaraw, nothing says open, transparent government and informed voter like

“They just don’t want anything out there prior to the election.”
