In all truth, they spend every spare minute in call centers Dialing for Dollars.
House Rs: “There is evidence political opposition research was used in court filings.”
So? Is an investigator supposed to not present evidence in a hearing for surveillance because the source has an ulterior motive for making an accusation? If that is the new standard then the entire American criminal justice system, which relies on testimony from confidential informants who are compensated with cash or reduced jail time, would collapse.
These guys should study their Kenneth Starr, before making stupid statements like this…
All that’s left for the rethuglicans is to wipe out the referees in the democracy. With DOJ and FBI neutered the full looting can proceed at a flank bell without interference or oversight.
Both these Clowns, Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy are retiring because they know if they stay in congress they would both lose their seats. It’s republican a-holes like them that has made this country so divided, and let me tell you the Country is full of these republican jerks who never should have been elected in the first place, you can Blame FOX News and Right Wing talk Radio for all this. Democrats Bring Back the Fairness Doctrine to put an end to this madness by republicans.
Well they’re right, during the 2016 campaign there was a lot of bias at the DOJ against Clinton.
“in the latest attempt by conservatives to paint the Russia investigation as a witch hunt out to hurt President Donald Trump.”
Truth. Now we’re getting somewhere! Don’t. Hold. Back!
Theoretically, I think Mueller could already be investigating this. Giuliani is certainly someone he is investigating. And I am sure that as the immediate former director of an apolitical FBI who worked with two Presidents, he was not only appalled, but probably angered by Kalstrom’s and Giuliani’s stunt. And I bet you he knows all the dirt there is to know about Kalstrom and his clique of anti Hillary zealots in the NYC office.
The Mueller investigation is ongoing and the first primary was yesterday. Republicans are bracing themselves.
Not as much work as pretty much any average American, whom are (undeservedly) making peanuts compared to members of Congress.
Right. Evidence of a crime is still evidence that needs to be considered/examined.
Show these peckerwoods the door.
RUN FOR OFFICE! Get out the vote! Just say a resounding “NO!” to Trump enablers.
A good guy, Steve Israel D-NY, had to retire early because he couldn’t bear the thought of spending 18 months of a two-year term dialing for dollars. He also didn’t want to hear another one of his Dem colleagues tell him that although they personally supported gun control legislation they knew their constituents didn’t so he’d never vote for any.
It’s been this way for awhile, and I’ve commented on such at other times.
For Republicans, belief is more important than fact.
Belief in the superiority and purity of their G-d-given powers is absolute and must never be questioned.
However, since their are those who can’t seem to get on board with this, then it’s perfectly acceptable and logical to ratfuck the systems so that all agencies and peoples accept their beliefs.
Republicans don’t want to govern; they want to rule.
Governance is compromise; they don’t know how.
Well, we’ve heard nothing from the usually loud-mouthed Rudy. He’s keeping his head down because he knows he’s been caught. And those NY FBI agents know they’ve been caught. They wake up every morning, wondering if today is the day.
I certainly hope so. The hubris of Giuliani and Mukasey to try and subvert an existing federal court prosecution and settle it with the newly subservient to Russia DOJ shows you how fucking arrogant Giuliani was in the heady days when he and Trump thought they had covered all the bases and ensured no investigation of the Russia conspiracy to elect Trump would be pursued.
Both of these jamokes (Gowdy and Goodlatte) are lawyers and know that to the extent they can sow confusion and deflect attention away from the very real evidence of Trump Administration criminality they aid and abet the efforts by Republicans to do NOTHING about Trump, Russian espionage, or other of their constitutional duties. Agent of chaos.
From the above, “They wrote that in the majority of cases, U.S. law enforcement officials have acted appropriately but claimed that there are “instances in which an actual or potential conflict of interest exists or appears to exist.””
I only wish that Goodlatte and Gowdy were as concerned about conflict of interest when it came to the Executive Branch and ties between Kushner, Trump, Trump Jr, and Ivanka in regards to their not so clear disentanglement from Business entities from which they profit. I wish they cared about the conflict of interest in the EPA with John Konkus;

This is obvious to the average american who follows politics, maybe not so much to the average american, but the GOP cares little about conflicts of interest except where it suits them and their party. How about we agree that conflicts of interest are bad for a democracy whether it be the oval office, a judgeship, an appointment, or congress.
So… the complaint is that the Department of Justice and the FBI are unfairly biased against people who break the law? Do I have the right?
I have nothing to add, but that’s worth repeating.
