After reading your comment I went back and listened to Giuliani’s comments about Ivanka and Kushner. I don’t have any special insight into Giuliani, but here’s a slightly different interpretation.
Giuliani is continually casting around for ways to defend his client and attempt to neutralize Mueller. Hannity asks about Ivanka being a target (quite possibly an agreed upon topic), and Giuliani – mind you, born in 1944 into a mob family – sees a chance to discredit Mueller, so attacks Mueller as unchivalrous [/Hillary Clinton laughs offstage] with all the sincerity that a thrice-married serial philanderer can summon in defending another thrice-married serial philanderer. My guess would be that the defense of Ivanka might have been a planned tactic, but my guess is that the strategy it served is not to trade Kushner for Ivanka, as much as simply to play the 19th century sexism card to decrease public support for Mueller.

I like to write insightful and semi-witty comments. But the 10 days or so, it’s really just ‘Ummm…wow.’ I mean there’s the obvious of ‘Oh shit’ or ‘Rats from a sinking ship’ or ‘Damn, Rudy’ or whatever. But seriously ‘Wow. Just, wow.’ pretty much covers it.

Would it have been a campaign finance violation if Trump wrote the check himself? I’m guessing not. If Cohen wrote the check knowing that Trump would personally reimburse him? (And all the stories about a home equity loan and Trump knowing nothing were just more Trump-oid BS along the way.) I’m also guessing not.
Edit to add: apparently if Cohen loaned this money to Trump, it may still count as campaign contribution. (So says Kellyanne’s hubby.) But I wonder how far that really goes. Was this a “loan” or a billable/reimbursible legal expense? If Cohen made copies at a Kinkos, and added the expense to Trump’s monthly legal bill, was that a campaign contribution? Surely everybody who did stuff for Trump during the campaign on Trump’s credit wasn’t making campaign contributions. If Trump bought dinner on a credit card was Citicorp making a campaign contribution since they were loaning him the money for a billing cycle?

Can a lawyer’s admissions to Hannity and Fox & Friends bind his client? Will Trump have to tweet, “Rudy is not my lawyer. He is not authorized to speak for me”?
Or are these shows on Fox just recognized as comedy, so whatever is said is considered done for laughs?

Just thinking, this is so awesome. Rudy could fess Trump up to all his crimes and he could go jail soon. But, its all good, Trump is a man and therefore according to Rudy, expendable.

I was thinking it was more about density than weight, and until last night had figured that a Scaramucci was about the densest thing in the Trumpf universe. It’s obvious that Trumpf Labs has been working overtime and have passed beyond the naturally occurring materials and have started creating new elements in their “Faux News Cyclotron”. Ladies and Gentlebeanies, I give you the “Ghouliani!” - the new densest element in the Trumpian Universe!!!
