The most important litmus test: where do you stand on the scale from closed primaries to caucuses?
Iâd use this to make some candidates feel the BURN.
I hope some of these candidates can be persuaded to go for state legislature and other races instead. The real election for the next decade is going to be winning back those statehouses.

So, what is going on with the all-female picture?
Can we stop asking Republican Party insiders what they think about D candidates? We donât care to hear what we all know the standard reply is âCommies all!â
This reminds me of a question I had, when I saw Zogby favorably RTâing some drivel by Bernieâs plant on the DNC committee.
I thought Zogbro was a Republican. Am I wrong?
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), with whom she worked investigating home foreclosures in California, and EMILYâs List.
Kamala Harris ⌠foreclosures? I donât think so.
âThereâs just less control from the party headquarters when you have these freewheeling primaries,âRussell said. He argued that while some will help promising candidates âget in shape, learn the ropes and become a better candidate,â in more places itâs not helpful.
âYouâre spending money earlier than you want to, youâre campaigning to a different audience than you need for the general election â and most stressful for the DCCC, you canât guarantee the outcome of the primary,â Russell said.
Democracy in action.
Of course, you can´t fault ´em. After all, the top-down control of the party has resulted in majorities in the Senate, House, governorships, state houses âŚ

Made some just the other day. Only had the cheap syrup though. Disappointed, hate the cheap syrup.
Whatâs with Pelosi in the middle of it all? Thatâs a 1st.
Good morning! What timing! Sometimes just canât let it go. At this rate, the âDâ Party will become the 3rd party by default.
Yeah, call me an elitist, but give me maple or give me death.
Yes, let´s use this occasion to purge the Ds of those pesky BernieBros. That´ll be the path back to electoral success!
Doesnât exist outside the fever dreams of the BernieBrats.
Thank you, Little Mary Sunshine.
Iâd like to see Democrats running in EVERY district held by a Republican. Some of those âsafeâ seats will turn out not to be so safe with a creative, vigorous Democrat in the race. And Democrats who lose might be building for the future.
Except for incumbents and their funders a candidate glut is never a bad thing.
This is a terrific problem for Democrats. Bit puzzled by the proliferation of candidates trying to take on Maxine Walters, though.
Not quite sure why having a large selection of diverse/qualified Dems looking/willing to run for office is a bad thing.
