I quit taking Brokaw seriously many years ago. He acts like a know it all just like O’Reilley, but you don’t see Brokaw saying anything about him.

Off the subject: Is anyone else having a really tough time downloading TPM pages today? Numerous times, I’ve gotten error pages, saying the page could not be downloaded. I don’t seem to have the same issues on other sites. Thanks.

Brokaw was good in “The Sunshine Boys” but “Oh, God!” was a bit funnier I feel.

Brokaw is a self-important twerp who thinks he is Edward R. Murrow. NBC has been a farce since GE bought it and made it a spokesperson for the military/industrial complex. It has scrupulously followed the middlebrow beat and avoided controversy. One proof point is the elevation of Brian Williams—an empty suit if there ever was one—to the august Brokaw Throne. Another is how it let Tim Russert get away with his schtick at MTP and the total dissolution of the show after Russert died. David Gregory (Karl Rove’s dance partner) and Chuck Todd (“It’s not my job to correct the GOP.”) have consistently kowtowed and allowed misinformation.
