Yes, it’s all about you, Duggar patriarch, and if God is so powerful, how did He let this happen? And don’t fall back on that “it’s God’s will” malarkey since that answers nothing.

Seriously! The females in that little cult are taught to be “submissive” to men. None of the kids have normal socialization with the outside world. They are all home-schooled with an emphasis on a very conservative branch of Southern Baptist. No wonder Josh thought the girls’ bodies were pretty much there to do with whatever he desired. Mom and Dad even forbid their ADULT daughters to hold hands with their “boyfriends” until after marriage. They monitor all communication, books, etc.
I find these people creepy and I have a little bit of pity for Josh considering the atmosphere under which he grew up. I feel so sorry for those girls and young ladies. I cannot imagine what it must be like for his victims.

I’m guessing that he was just born to be a sexual predator sociopath and that all of the brainwashing did not play much of a role. His statement about “ruining my life” demonstrates why society needs a criminal justice system. People who lack the ability to empathize with others need to be made to fear adverse consequences to themselves.

I could not agree more. Empathy is only for thyself, with these people. Damn, I really do feel sorry for the children–ANY children–brought up by crack-pots like JimBob and Michele Duggar.

With 19 kids, the odds are against the parents of having 19 angels. There is likely an atheist in the crowd, a Homosexual OMG and a few other deviants that haven’t made the spotlight yet and the parents aren’t in the clear either. Are they having all of these kids as a business proposition?

Hey, if TLC were really up on their game, they’d have had these people sign a lifetime ownership contract ala ‘Truman.’ Lock, stock and barrel … until one discovers their own path to reality and not the little made-up world their parents made for them. Like I said: Creepy.
Early reporting that Irish voters, in exceptionally high turnout for referendum, will approve marriage equality. That this should happen on the same day as the Duggars are brought down just makes the victory that much sweeter.

Yep. Just like that. Makes me cry everytime. Though I doubt it’s anything like that, there sure is a part of me that really really wishes for a reunion of sorts. I’m getting a bit choked up right now.

In communities like this they don’t usually have to deal with the real world. Since they marry other members, either homeschool or find their own religious schools. There never confronted with reality.
