I never thought Breotbart could be shocking, as I always thought of it as the Mad Magazine of the crazy right wing, but the anti-Semitic post about Shapiro did, since Breitbart himself self-identified as a proud Jew in honor of his adoptive parents. The anti-Semitic trope of the Trump campaign is weird too given that his daughter identifies as an Orthodox Jew. Trump is the most dangerous guy in American history, given his success.

Seriously? They’re just now noticing Breitbart isn’t actually a news operation but instead a propaganda machine? I guess some people are willing to get a little dirty but draw a line somewhere…deniability?

Can someone point out in that CSPAN scrum video where either of the two people are?
Apparently Lewandowsky yanked the plug of the Breitbart hot air ballon and it just went whoooosh.
It let Lewandowsky go with a stern warning, you don’t yank a reporters arm. But he did a service to the community by ridding it of that nefarious organization that is Breitbart.
Exculpatory? Not hardly. Your clip definitely show her getting jolted. That she didn’t hit the ground isn’t the point. The point is that one of Trump’s people grabbed her.

Because TPM readership does not a dog on that fight. If Trump fires Lewandosky and his campaign suffers I am fine. If the Breitbart organization implodes that will be great as well. As for Fields and Saphiro they had it coming as they never had any qualms when Breitbard was falsely smearing someone else.

There’s no doubt in my mind that while overt racism is boiling over in Trumpland, anti-Semitism is lurking just below the surface.

I guess the difference between Trump and Hitler is that Trump doesn’t require his Sturmabteilung troops to wear brown shirts.
You can clearly see Lewandowski reaching for her arm - that is the point: this is not about whether she is “exculpated”. Trump and his staff are making statements that are untrue on their face and trashing her in the process. I can’t stand her, or anyone who works at Breitbert, but the video proves the Trump campaign has been serially lying about this “little” thing (“never met her”, etc) and that, at best, there is nothing to refute her statements and, in fact, the video is consistent with her story, even supportive. On balance, she is much more credible on this than Trump, by any measure. So, thanks for playing.

My only problem with this article is the author demeans actual news agencies by saying Breitbart is a News agency. They are far from it.
