I think that he’s certainly the favorite, but I’m not convinced that he’s the overwhelming favorite. He’s certainly more likely than any single other candidate to win the nomination outright by securing a majority of delegates, but I also think that the odds of a brokered convention are very high.
If Trump has the most delegates but not an outright majority, does he win a brokered convention? This is the primary reason that I’m a slight Trump skeptic.
