Discussion: Tillerson On Trump: 'I've Never Questioned His Mental Fitness'

Absolutely spot on. RExxon may be a man of loose ethics, he may have signed on to this badministration because he couldn’t get past his wet dream of how much he’d pocket from a Rosneft/Exxon drilling partnership but he’s a savvy C-level exec who knows how to choose his words carefully. Very, very, strongly, bigly carefully.

“I’ve never questioned his mental fitness” is the most perfect statement I’ve heard from anyone speaking of this kerfuffle du jour.

Tillerson said “I have never seen the President leave a meeting with a foreign leader.”

“Mr. President, the meeting is over. Mr. President? Mr. Trump? The meeting is over. Ummm, you can go now. Mr. President?”

No, you called him a fucking moron. Some of us are old enough to recognize a non-denial denial when we see one.

Donald Trump has the same attitude toward moral fitness as he does toward physical fitness – you’re born with only so much morals, and you better not exercise it too much or else you’ll run out and croak.

OT but holy smokes, Katy Tur just wiped, no, sandblasted the floor with congressman Jim Jordan R-Ohio.

Maybe he didn’t question Trump’s mental fitness, though I don’t believe him one little bit.

Watch this video of Trump in 1980: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-w47wgdhso

Then compare it with any speech he made, or any interview he gave, in 2016 or later. In the video, Trump can actually talk in complete paragraphs, all relating to the same topic and ideas. Today, he can’t even complete a single sentence without throwing out off-topic sentence fragments. In fact, he can barely utter a grammatically correct sentence at all.

Trump clearly has brain damage.

It’s time to start questioning the fitness of anyone who isn’t questioning Trump’s fitness.

And I’ve never questioned how good a football team the Cleveland Browns are, because I already know.

He has none to question.

That’s because it’s not a question. The man is severely mentally ill. Period.

"That’s also the why the American people chose him.”

The American people did not choose him. The electoral college did. The American people chose someone else by over 3M votes.

“He is not a typical of Presidents of the past. I think that’s well recognized.”

He denies, denies, denies

then quietly begs for help.

Therein lies the problem Rex …

Don’t have time to care much ? ? …
Working with Zinke now ? ? …

At least you should be happy hearing gas prices are on the rise —

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Friday of President Donald Trump: “I’ve never questioned his mental fitness.”

How many times did an Obama cabinet member have to deny questioning his mental fitness?

“In terms of what I would do different, I’m going to build on my ability to communicate with the President better,” he told the outlet. “I had to learn is what is effective with this President. He is not a typical of Presidents of the past. I think that’s well recognized. That’s also the why the American people chose him.”

The American people didn’t choose him, they chose Hillary. The effin electoral college gave us trump.

But trump voters certainly did want someone who would eff things up. One of my conservative friends at work said they liked that he would “shake things up”. One cynical view is that the working class whites who got screwed by Reaganomics wanted to throw a destructive rich bastard back at the rest of the billionaire bastards. I know that’s not correct, but it isn’t completely implausible; a side dish of misogynistic hillary hate helps it along.

Neither have I, I’ve always believed firmly he wasn’t fit for office, no question.

Trevor points out the book might help Donald get out of Russian collusion charge. If, as it says, he never really wanted to win, why would he have colluded with the Russian to try and win?

The American people chose him under the electoral rules and laws we have. Rules and laws they have not insisted be changed. Changes that are within their powers to insist be implemented. So, yes, we chose him.
