Well, it’s a good thing that Trump consulted with all of the US allies and those with an interest and of course “the best experts” - so that he would make a wise and thoughtful decision - aw, who am I kidding? He just decided to do whatever the hell he felt like doing. If Putin’s goal was to isolate the US and dilute US influence by having Trump as president - then mission accomplished.
