Brat is also a faithful devotee of depraved hypocrite and breathtakingly cruel and clueless old crone Ayn Rand.
Tells you all you need to know. He and Lyin’ Ryan should be a match made in hell.

Brat is also another of the TEAlibangelical theocrats who proudly states that religion should play a much more vigorous role in our socio/political lives:
“Religion has for too long been placed on the backburner of history when it may be one of the driving forces in our future and history.”
In short, Brat is the perfect living embodiment of the much quoted admonition and warning: “When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”
Brat: An Ayn Rand fluffer who thinks that religion has a powerful place in the free market? An economist who favours deregulation of produce? A person running on the anti-establishment ticket but is backed by the same clowns who gets everyone elected?
Make no mistake. Brat is FINISHED even before he starts. Good riddance to Cantor and soon enough good riddance to Brat too.
Brat is a “Randian Christian,” an oxymoron if there ever was one. Let’s take the worst of both world’s and inflict them on a terrified public.
Ayn Rand had two moments of perfect clarity in her cankered life: She absolutely loathed Ronald Reagan and she despised organized religion and often called religious people tragically weak minded.
Oh well done Virginia! You actually found someone worse than Eric Cantor and voted for him!
bwwahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Enjoy!
A masters degree in divinity. In other words, another know-nothing anti-science zealot. Just what America needs right now.
Another whack-a-doodle Tea Bagger in congress. They’re only hurting themselves and I, for one, am enjoying watching the Party Of No implode before my very eyes. They so richly deserve it.
The point is that he is castigating raising the debt limit after spending already occurred.
This would lead to default. That anyone even pretending to be an economist would think this would be an acceptable course of action is simply a looney fringe ideologue.
What the hell is going on in the Republican party? This guy ran to the right of Cantor and is now trying to appear to be more centrist? This game is working for the party, because the faithful know that anything said by Brat (great name for a RWNJ) between now and the general will be bullshit and that his real beliefs have already been shown. Our country is way fucked up.
He knows the territory and is an excellent salesman. That’s all you need for office these days.
It’s so sad that the debt-limit hawks don’t understand this simple fact. The debt-ceiling has to be raised to address current commitments. It just allows the government to pay it’s bills; it doesn’t have anything to do with the deficit, which is the spending already committed to. Yet these simple-minded folks can’t seem to understand this. Not raising the debt-ceiling is like telling your wife not to pay the credit card bill for that lavish dinner, because then you can balance your household budget.
Isn’t that what Mullah Omar was saying before Taliban took over Afghanistan?
