The only two things I know about Arte Lange is that he loves cupcakes and survived a half-hearted suicide attempt. Oh, and three: he’s not funny.

We thought humor like that was hilarious – when we were about 14 years old.
Vintage Artie Lange! Harkens back to his days on MAD-TV, I’m surprised he didn’t tell the lady to “break her foot off in his a$$,” a reference to his “That’s My White Momma” bit. He probably should have kept his fantasies to himself, rather than tweeting them all over the place, which is rather stupid this day in age. You can be guaranteed some people will not see the humor and the PC police will be all over you. Still five minutes of attention, even if negative attention is still attention. Which matters to performers, no matter who they are.

Unless it costs you gigs. In which case, not so much. Ol’ Artie doesn’t strike me as a “listen to a financial adviser and have a robust portfolio to see you through rough times” kind of guy. This could get ugly for him quick.

One way to guarantee that people won’t see the humor is by not being funny. Whatever–all someone has to do is mention “the PC police” and I know their opinion on anything can be safely ignored.

Yeah, you can count me as someone who doesn’t see the humor…mainly because it wasn’t there. Not that I’m offended by what he wrote, just find it amazing that anyone could somehow mistake any of that for humor.
Of course, I’m responding to someone who thought Mad TV was funny, so I suppose I’m wasting my time.

Agreed. All “political correctness” was ever about was paying people the same respect you expect for yourself. Yet these people are so damn clueless that they consider it tyrannical thought control when anyone expects them to behave like adults.
The very concept that anyone else deserves the same treatment that they expect offends them, because they place themselves so much above the rest of us. For them, it’s a violation of their liberty just to be told not to be rude and they’ll gripe endlessly about how they’re being controlled by the Thought Police, under the mistaken idea that their words and actions count as thoughts.
And of course, if you treat them the same way they treat others, they get outraged and use it as proof of how unfair society is. So they’ll whine about how they’re the one group that can still be insulted, completely oblivious to the fact that they never did stop mocking these other groups and that they’re still part of the group with the most control.

Arte Lang didn’t even compare well to Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling.
Calling him a comedian does a disservice to working professionals around the world.

We just have trouble coming to grips with the fact that half the population really does have an IQ less than 100. It’s one of those alarming, paralyzing thoughts. We rail against it to keep from becoming clinically depressed about it. Or drinking. A lot.

Artie should stick to the stand up stage in a comedy club with this type of humor. He is fantasizing about this woman like many fantasize about being a sex slave. He sounds like he wants her to dominate him. I really got what Artie was saying. He really thinks this Black woman is hot and wants to marry her in the end. I think he picked the wrong medium to let his feelings for her known. Twitter is going to be the death of everyone. If I could find an email for Artie I would tell him how much I laughed at what he said.

When these assholes make these comments and many people get upset at the disgusting idiocy of it all - then the so called comedian acts like it’s our fault for being disgusted. It’s not always white guys that do this sh*t but I bet is most of the time. He’s a contemptible twerp and if told that he would somehow blame that comment on me. These guys need to grow up. Their routine is stupid, sick, and disgusting. And really not funny.
I thought this article was about a comedian. All I see and can read about is some overgrown delinquent ass-hole with a beard.
