I found it astounding that this man was so certain that his statement would fall on welcoming ears–the ears of the six white male justices. He managed to insult and discount all of the women justices not just on the basis of their gender but their ethnicity.
What kind of colossal garbage is in this man’s so-called ‘libertarian’ mind? Does it translate into, “I’m a white male and therefore ‘free’ to do whatever I like and the rest be damned?”
But the ACA besides regulation is about giving subsidies to people so they can buy private non-governmental insurance. Not the most efficient route maybe, but hey it’s the US of A.
IOW, its just about Obama and the fact that he’s sort of black and the fact that that black man is their leader. All of the resulting black issues stem from this original black issue.
Plus Republicans just feel like they should be in power and doing whatever they damned well please. They aren’t and their throwing the tantrum of all times.
This argument will certainly appeal to the racist on the court Scalia, Alito,Kennedy, and of course the dummy Thomas and of course the head racist Roberts.
Racism in #theAmericas (North America, South America) is unfortunately unique from any other culture in history as you’ve been weened on the legacy of white-skinned slavers and negreros. Thus, whiteskin (not just ‘white male’) preferences are what you need to focus on scaling back, in a hurry. Believe me, from an educated Briton perspective (e.g.) you’re not regularly confronting the vulgarities of your predicament. This article is a quantum leap in the proper direction. Yet as radical as some readers may think it reads - its just the tip of the iceberg… via @ethnicassets
Exactly. There isn’t a pie that is being divided out so that we all have to scramble for a little piece.
Conservatives (and many businesses) have always made it seem to be that way. Oh, teachers got a raise, we’ll have to close the libraries and privatize (sell) a park.
Aye - your points are valid. But, the power Americans wield is based on #whiteSKIN overall. Its very unique. Not even the monstrous Roman-era empires had such a skin colour-based hegemony (largely because race mixing would get you killed in a hurry). Thus, per the context, racism in the Americas is far more insidious than its sexism - which is also pretty damn insidious innt (!)
The problem with Obamacare is not with race or gender anxiety, it is the fact that the federal government has overstepped its bounds in accordance with the 10th Amendment, which I doubt less than 1/2 of the American people know what it is.
The federal government has trampled all over the 10th Amendment.
So, to think that Obamacare is about race or gender is not the issue, the issue is that the federal government, President Obama mainly, does not believe that the 10th Amendment (or any of the others) apply. They are saying that the rights we have come from the government & not the other way around, as our country was set up by our Founding Fathers.
They did not write in that we have a “right” to healthcare. They didn’t because to Obamacare is taking money from people that work for it & give it to those that don’t. Or they are taking money from people that have been able to get on with a company that offers healthcare as a benefit & turned it into a “right” of everyone. There is no way that if I am working for a company that offers me healthcare, there is no way that it is right for the government to take away money that I have earned & give it to those that work at jobs, if the work at all, that have no healthcare. Let them educate themselves enough to get on with a company that does offer such benefits.
And if you want the costs of healthcare brought down so that the ordinary citizen is better able to afford it, then get the lawyers & these idiotic lawsuits (Oh, I opened my coffee & spilt it on myself, burning myself & it is your fault that I opened my cup of hot coffee) out of the system & you will see the cost of healthcare come down.
