Discussion: The Most Obama Moments From His First Time Stumping With Clinton

Finally got to see the entire thing just now. And I’m honestly excited… two smart, thoughtful Democrats campaigning together, that’s a beautiful thing to see.

I think even more so with Mexican food. There are just so many more ways one can go wrong with Mexican food.

I’m spoiled these days - I only eat northern New Mexico Mexican food. After this food I couldn’t go back to Tex Mex, and I’ll be honest = outside of Texas and New Mexico whatever they are calling Mexican food, they are lying about it.

I was in Connecticut last summer and went to a “Mexican” restaurant. Lobster quesadillas? Cranberry margaritas?

Awesome. I channel surfed into the storm. If ever there’s been an incumbent so enthusiastic, so out there for a candidate to succeed him, it hasn’t been in my lifetime.

Same living in Northern Jersey. We are STARVED for Southern BBQ joints up here! I was in Raleigh visiting a friend, went to this place called The Pit. I still dream about it. I’ve heard the expression “ribs that fall off the bone”, but thought it was a myth, like the Sasquatch. Matt…it’s real. It’s real and it’s beautiful. It’s the most beautiful thing mine eyes have ever seen. I’m getting weepy.

Yes of course. I was distinguishing from western-NC style BBQ, though I don’t actually know which type they eat in Charlotte.
Please tell me they don’t eat western NC BBQ there…

Yeah, The Pit is great!
And there are plenty others in the area that give it a run for its money.

The horror!

I had a taco in Northern California once and they put pizza sauce on it, swear to god.

Oh no! You left out no. 1 for Mexican food, which is AZ.

I stand on my statement. And I’ll put Navajo tacos and Hatch green chiles up against anything Arizona can throw on a plate.

Yvonne, I was wondering if you went to the rally. Looking for you at PW

Ate at Curra’s in Austin a couple of weeks ago. They make an avocado margarita. Creamy, delicious! Don’t have to worry too much about the food.

That sounds interesting and I can imagine it was creamy and delicious.

Drumpf has lot it. He just praised Saddam Hussein at a rally in Raleigh

Donald Trump offers praise for Saddam Hussein at North Carolina rally

Donald Trump, speaking in North Carolina, just praised deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein as a killer of terrorists, noting that Hussein “didn’t read them the rights” before executing them.

“Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right? He was a bad guy. Really bad guy,” Trump begins. “But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them the rights, they didn’t talk. They were a terrorists - it was over. Today, Iraq is Harvard for terrorism.”

Most skilled politician, and president, ever.

Yeah. Apparently he stopped using his Teleprompter altogether somewhere during the speech.

Smarmy writeup of a sweet event.

Oh, I’m sure. But I didn’t grow up with it so I’m pretty ecumenical. Texas brisket, North Carolina east, west, or in between, it’s all good. I did grow up with Philly cheese steaks and Lancaster County, PA food in the neighborhood. Good apples and sweet corn grown regionally. But no barbecue. : ( First time I had the real deal was at a famous place called Formy’s on the Eastern Shore in Virginia. It was like a religious experience.

Just read about that and saw the clip. The boy ain’t right. He’s got an unnatural attraction to psychopath strongmen who torture and kill with no compunction. Sick in the head, he is. I mean seriously.
