I think there’s more than meets the eye there. I think he’s passing along a dog whistle message to somebody within the Cruz staff, and I think that message is pretty much some kind of veiled threat.
They just took the story down. Finally. Ugh.
But it sounds like Cruz’s office actually tried to help the dude, the way I read this.

Gawwd’! This story has devolved into a real mess. Geithner is denying it all; the porn actor seems more interested in conspiracy theories and just wants to talk about those; Gawker says it all true but they shouldn’t have run the piece; everybody is royally pissed on all sides; GamerGate is coming out of this a “hero”… up is down, left is right, black is white… rotfl…how confusing!
And I feel so embarrassed to have spent even a few minutes reading about it! ~derp…derp…derp!~
