Discussion: The Case Of The Disappearing Dubya

My fantasy/hope, and the fantasy of many, is that the Dem president in 2016, fills the SCOTUS (Stevens) vacancy with constitutional scholar President Obama. Would not a lifetime appointment be the best revenge for all his ill treatment? One can dream.

Yes. As in rolling up shitballs to feed their pupating offspring. An apt totem if ever there was one.

Well done!

Every two years the Republican Party proves that, if history teaches us anything, itā€™s that history teaches us nothing. If fact, the Republicans thrive on that notion.

But do you have to be a natural born citizen to serve on the Supeme Court?:smirk:

Baron Asphair! I am sure it stings if you touch it!

Nevertheless, he has been busy fading his own star, starting with the disaster that is Palin.

Yeah, all those animal totems will need to take a leak sometime.

@jw1 - I have my view of the butterfly effect - I left, no FLED, Dallass, Texass in 1988 for the greener pastures of the Pacific Northwest. Once my liberal ass was across the border in NM (and at a Dennyā€™s breakfast in Tucumcari) the space-time continuum was warped. Dubya became governor vs. Ann Richards, Molly Ivins died, and the plethora of rightwing nutjobs came into ascendancy in Texas political life.

I think if you look at Romney, Dubya, et. al. you see the ā€˜reasonableā€™ wing of the GOP, which doesnā€™t play well anymore. We only hear now from Darth Cheney, and we hear about Reagan, who would be a Dem in this worldā€¦

No simpler proof of the mediaā€™s being owned by the right wing.

We need an independent research body, funded, connected, and able to trace where the money comes from and where it goes. Itā€™s the giant whale beneath the body politic.

That is why we need to hang the albatross of Bush around Jebā€™s neck. He has the same advisers as his moron brother. He has the same exact policies too. How did that work out the last time?

We would not recover from another Bush Presidency when it is based on the last one.

Wingnut heads would explode from coast to coast!

The scary part is, his advisers, the same ones who led us into the Iraq war, have not disappeared. They are in top positions in some of the 2016 Republican campaigns.

I would that Dubya would disappear behind bars for a few decades. Yes, I have a dream.

The Democrats have engaged in similar behavior. Mondale was disappeared. Dukakis was disappeared. Carter was ignored by the party for many, many years. Al Gore ran away from Clinton, tried to foist that moralistic scold Lieberman on us and was thrown away by the party.

I remember all the talking heads babbling about how he needed to get away from Bill. Big mistake. His own later environmental work kept him in the spotlight as the party cringed.

They wanted to disappear Bill Clinton, too, but couldnā€™t when Hillary was elected Senator in 2000. Kerry was invisible until he became SOS.

GWB is still the worst. president. ever.

Never forget. Every December 12, all of my holiday lights go dark to commemorate SCOTUS shoving Dumbya up our butts.

No historian like to say that ant president was truly bad; it sees too unpatriotic. So the way historians treat our gawd-awful Presidents is to ignore them. All those no-name Presidents that we just donā€™t study in our history classes is actually a rouges gallery of our most miserable Presidents. As Americaā€™s WORST President, W has been relegated to that group of no-namers that we just donā€™t talk about in polite society.

ā€¦if only Poppy and Barb had bought dubya a degree in Fine Artsā€¦

Think how many would be alive and unmaimed today.

There isnā€™t he slightest chance that we Democrats will ever even begin to let the Republicans erase the American catastrophe that was the Bush administration.

Republicans have no heroes, none, zip, nada. They only bring up Reagan, a semi-decent President that basically kicked off the downfall of the USA over 30 years ago because they have no one more current and nothing before that they want to brag about.
Reagan invented cutting and running. Reagan tripled the national debt. Reagan raised taxes something like 11 times. Reagan traded guns to our enemies. Reagan had Alzheimerā€™s disease for a large portion of his Presidency and for all we know our country was being run by tarot card readers. Reagan was a classic racist.
Reagan was a Hollywood elite and supposedly Republicans hate that.

No matter what, George W. Bush is the Bush family, nothing his daddy did or JebBush will do will ever erase the massive failures of George W. He canā€™t hide enough or be hushed too much. The whole world remembers.

Hillaryā€™s and Bernieā€™s campaigns should just create attack ads with Jeb!'s voice and this picture. Thatā€™d be sufficient to sink his campaign.
