Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the White Christians only, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

No really

Miami Beach reportedly has a splinter faction of militant Cuban emigres who aren’t fond of the Castros.

Someone should ask if this country is back to backing that ‘horse’.

Righto, Ted. Not only should we ACT like big dicks but we should LEGISLATE it. After all, you and your American hating father got in…let’s close the borders now.

is he going to follow up with suggesting that we withdraw citizenship and deport people from ‘those countries’? how far back?

There are about 17 logical fallacies in that one statement. And I thought he was supposed to be the smart one, debating boy genius.

“Congress should act to prevent Americans who have travelled abroad for training from returning here, and to stop the flow of refugees from hotbeds of terrorism in the Middle East that President Obama is determined to bring to our country,” he said in the statement, according to the Free Beacon.

There are companies in the U.S. legally instructing citizens in the use of tactical combat weapons, covert surveillance, guerrilla warfare maneuvers, evasive vehicle tactics, hand-to-hand combat, sniper skills, ordnance and explosive technologies, etc. Why should it be illegal to go to Saudi Arabia and then return after learning the very same skills being legally taught here in the U.S.?

Congratulations, Ted: You’re a fucking coward.

This country has for its entire history been a place of refuge, where people can escape war, terror, intolerance, penury, and hopelessness, a place where they can rediscover freedom and liberty after escaping fear and oppression.

It’s what we stand for, and when we give up those values in fear, for the sake of safety, then we have resorted to a cowardice that will neither keep us safe nor alleviate our fear - since cowardice is the very opposite of fearlessness, the opposite of protecting our values, and the opposite of confronting and overcoming that which threatens and endangers the values that make us great.

And when we fail to live up to those values, when we give in to cowardice and intolerance - such as we did when we refused to let in Jews during WWII - it leaves a permanent stain of shame on our history and our sense of ourselves.

So why do Republicans love fear, Ted? Why do Conservatives consistently demand we that turn on and give up the values that make America great? Why are Republicans and Conservatives all such fucking cowards?

If you were part of a regime that killed millions of Jews and gypsies and homosexuals, then wanted to come to the U.S. to help develop weaponry that would kill even more people, you’re welcomed.

***It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.***

Well it’s my guess that as long as acts of terrorism motive rash actions they will continue. They don’t blow shit up to unite us. To make us think. They do it to provoke crap like Cruz just suggested. They can’t win unless there are Cruz’s and Trump’s to act on their provocations.
