LOLLERCOASTER!

“Is Islam a religion?”

Yeah, it is. It’s about as fucking whacked as your alleged “Christianity.”

Has there been any factual information provided that Republicans are a legitimate party?

Has it been proven empirically that Texas is a State? Are there peer reviewed studies on the matter? Is Trebor Gordon a real person? Has anyone seen his birth certificate? And what the hell is the damned deal with EVERY FRICKING dish in a Mexican restaurant having goddamned cilantro as an ingredient? Somebody? Anybody?! I’m waiting!!!

*Unthink that. Can’t do it, can you?

“During my prayer, this man did not bow his head. During the pledge of allegiance, he did not utter a word," Gordon said at the meeting, as quoted by the Post. “He didn’t even try to fake it and move his lips.” (Some asshat Republican “Christian”)

Fake it and move their lips, you mean like most Republicans? – The only part of the Pledge of Allegiance they hear is “I pledge allegiance to … God.” Republicans of today do not pledge to uphold liberty and justice for ALL.

“During my prayer, this man did not bow his head. During the pledge of allegiance, he did not utter a word," Gordon said at the meeting, as quoted by the Post. "He didn’t even try to fake it and move his lips. If you believe that a person can practice Islam and agree to the foundational principles of the Republican Party, it’s not right. It’s not true. It can’t happen. There are things on our platform that he and his beliefs are total opposite.”

Mike Robertson, a precinct chair, also stood up during the debate that ensued to question Ali’s religion.

“Can I have a point of information?” Robertson said, as quoted by the Post. “Has there been any factual information provided that Islam is a religion?”

The Post reported that Ali, who did not speak up during the meeting, has been an active Republican since the Reagan administration.

Unless the RNC gets serious about tackling this problem, we will lose future elections; the data demonstrates this. In both 2008 and 2012, President Obama won a combined 80 percent of the votes of all minority voters, including not only African Americans but also Hispanics, Asians, and others. The minority groups that President Obama carried with 80 percent of the vote in 2012 are on track to become a majority of the nation’s population by 2050.

From the GOP autopsy.

“He didn’t even try to fake it and move his lips.”

So, if he’d have faked it, would you have been happy? We could always ask your wife…

“Trebor Gordon, the chaplain for the Harris County Republican Party, said Syed Ali should not be able to serve as a leader in the local GOP ‘on the grounds that Islam does not have any basis or any foundation’….”

Unlike, say, chaplain Gordon’s beliefs.

Which are based on empirical evidence, critical reasoning, and rigorous application of the scientific method.

And most definitely are not based on bronze-age fairy tales.

Cravens told the Post she was “stunned” by Gordon’s actions.

‘Stunned’ how?

That there was an actual Black man in the GOP not being used as a token or that he got uppity?

Faking is completely acceptable to the GOP. In fact, it’s the only way to get elected and still sleep at night.

That’s the part I liked: this dog turd admits that he uses both prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance to flush out “unbelievers.”
