Considering that dude’s AK has a magazine attached and therefore likely a round chambered AND it’s pointed at another man’s head…it’s a good thing he’s got the safety engaged. I hope the kid’ weapon is on safety as well.
Just to avoid the fear of being mistaken for a shooter that discouraged the the carrying vet in Roseburg from taking action against the shooter, maybe “carrying” students could wear the “color of the day,” the way undercover cops do. It would be a win, win situation because sane students would know who the crazy fuckers to avoid were.
The problem with that is getting students to pay attention to the “color of the day” and remember it. Better to just keep guns off campus.
All profs should move to a sane state.
Colleges and Universities were very opposed to this bill.
But the NRA trumps everyone.
I am very sad and angry that it has come to this. There will be deaths caused by this disastrous legislation.
My aunt was on campus the day of the Whitman murders and had to take cover.

So what will they say when gun violence still occurs on campuses after this bill is enacted? I mean, at some point they will stop running out of things other than massive number of guns to blame for the massive amounts of gun violence in America.
Maybe they’ll continue to pivot to the “not praying the Jesus hard nuff” argument so we get to have all our kids armed while they waste half the day speaking to imaginary sky daddies.
If JFK had been carrying, things might be different today.

Well it’s only 4 or 5 blocks from campus to the State House I’d recommend running there. Just remember to zig zag on your run for your life.

Man I am old: I watched this thing live on TV.
The cops had to step in and rambo this thing out because every moron with a gun came out and was shooting at the tower. They were also missing and showering the neighborhood behind the tower with bullets.
Because bullets iz magic, doncha no.
