I am still confused as to how gay people doing anything directly goes after the Christian faith. if they want to obey the letter of the rule than they need to treat it as an “abomination” in general. It is not gay marriage, it is gay. And if they do that they are bigots and hypocrites because they do not obey the letter of the rules in other parts. Only those that support their own bias.

Judges in Dallas County can waive the 72-hour waiting period between when marriage licenses are issued and ceremonies can be held as gay couples lined up Friday to wed.
Judge Ken Molberg, who’s the administrative district judge for the county, said prior to Friday’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage that
judges would be available immediately for ceremonies.
Several couples were lined up at the Dallas County Records Building seeking marriage licenses, including Kenneth Denson and his partner, Gabriel Mendez. The couple, who’ve been together 15 years, wore matching gray T-shirts from their business, Red Pegasus Games & Comics, where they planned to return to work after getting married.
A sign posted at the business said the owners might be opening a little late Friday “because we’re waiting at the courthouse to see if the Supreme Court is going to let us get married.”
The Supremes just changed the definition and it’s the law of all the land, blowhard. Now enforce the law or get out of law enforcement bigot.
So here’s the thing, Dude. All those gays and heteros that support marriage equality are taxpayers, too. And it is their taxes that help pay your salary and provide all of the infrastructure - roads, utilities, sidewalks, law enforcement, military, etc. that make the commercial interests of the merchants that oppose gay marriage possible. So, discrimination in the government/public sphere or commerce that serves the public is not allowable. Period. What you do in your home or church is your business. You can discriminate against anyone you want. No pastor is being asked to marry people against his/her faith. Hell, Catholic priests do not marry people outside their denomination and no one cares. But when you are a government official or serve the public, you gotta play by the rules.
This guy is simply proving that he his completely unqualified for the job to which he has been appointed. He should just resign (or, really, be removed by executive order) now.

Any conservative that is upset with this ruling can blame their saint, alzheimer-addled ronnie reagan! The push for same sex marriage intensified when the partners of dying AIDS patients were not allowed into the hospital rooms to be with their partners. The “president” and congressional members were begged for legislation to correct this situation. They ignored those pleas and now are reaping what they have sowed! Congratulations to my gay brothers and sisters! Now they have the full benefits and responsibilities of marriage. Have a wonderful pride weekend!

well if they do decide to go against the SCOTUS on this issue and a couple be it either two men or women who want to wed each other and are denied that RIGHT and they sue i hope they dont mind loseing ina court of law …I also hope it cost shit loads of cash to be wasted cause there’s nothing a fiscal conservative loves more than wasting lots of tax payer dollars
I hope that all fair-minded county clerks in Texas, eager to do the right thing, and avoid legal prosecution themselves, IMMEDIATELY begin issuing marriage licenses to ALL people who seek them!
