Oh, boy, with Jindal, Huckabee et al., weighing in this same way, will the South find a new pretext to try to secede?

“Nothing will change the importance of a mother and a father to the raising of a child.”

He is outlawing divorce for couples with children? That’s a bold move

Says the law doesn’t really exist, his state will never recognize it - and that he’ll comply with the SCOTUS decision.

At least he has the courage of his rhetoric.

More hypocrisy from the right. They love the court when the blow up election financing laws or redistricting or voting rights. They scream bloody murder when they lose on anything that helps the “others” out there.

I’m wiating to see what happens in Alabama. Roy Moore will -definitely- order the county clerks to not issue the licenses. And when that happens, he needs to be frog martched to Federal Court and held in criminal contempt.

Or, perhaps, the Texas AG is commenting how profoundly appalled with the actions of Bristol P, and is informing her she is not welcome in Texas!

So having dozens of wives, including war rape/brides as well as marrying your widowed sister-in-law is all un-redefined back into law?

Who knew?

They really loved the court when they stole the election for Dumbya.

Alas, the thrill is gone…

once again… substitute slavery or inter-racial marriage and you’ll get the actual meaning of this blowhard’s message…

as with most thing in Texas, where things are alleged to always be bigger, the windbags also blow harder… if you get my drift…

Ike sent the 101st Airborne into Little Rock the last time someone got really cute with defying Federal law. I’d love to see some of these bellicose wingnuts follow through on their threats to ignore the ruling.

“To be clear — the law in the state of Texas is that marriage is one man and one woman, and the position of this office is that the United States Constitution clearly does not speak to any right to marriage other than one man and one woman and that the First Amendment clearly protects religious liberty and the right to believe in traditional marriage without facing discrimination,”
