So here’s what conservatives believe the Second Amendment is all about.
Unstable people should have a right to stick weapons in our faces while they grill us to determine if there’s something about us that makes them feel uncomfortable… at which point they’re legally allowed – and ideologically encouraged – to shoot.

So now we know that conservative paradise of Montana is so riddled with crime that the residents are forced to stay up all night guarding their property with shotguns.
Nice job NRA.

The idea that we have a set of laws that legitimize murder based on what the murderer “believed” is beyond surreal. They might as well have passed laws that allow deadly force whenever anyone feels “afraid.”
That’d work out fine.
I think it likely that this fellow, Mr Kaarma, was mentally unstable well before any burglary happened at his home.
The kind of country the NRA wants is one in which everyone is armed to the teeth and ready and itching to kill each other over the least slight. Cut off in traffic? Shoot 'em. Somebody accidentally bumps you in line at the super market? Well hell, that’s clearly a reason to fire away.

“they heard him say he had been waiting up nights to shoot an intruder.” Sounds like intent to me. And he’s getting more due process than the German exchange student got.
Answering the door naked, holding a shotgun was a giveaway in my book. I always throw a little something on when I answer the door, shotgun in hand…for all I know it could be Publishers Clearinghouse…
