Ouch, but I have to wonder if the fact that he was screwing over so many people even computed to this guy. For statements like that to even have any effect on a person, you have to already start out with a sense of shame.

Being directly responsible for the torment and pain of tens of thousands of needlessly suffering souls might just cause more than missing a few nights’ rest.
The fact it was essentially a money deal makes it all the more discomfiting.

Liked, in part, except that he’s not that slimy… if he was he wouldn’t
have the votes to be where he is.
McCauliffe’s certainly among the new crew of former backseat drivers who actually took the wheel and ran for an office, and he wouldn’t be capable of that if he was one of the real slimeballs.

Good. It’s so easy for men it seems to deny others what they are privileged to have obtained themselves. He should fee shame, but I am quite sure he does not.

I don’t know why you didn’t think he had it in him. Apparently you weren’t aware of his role in the Clinton Administration. McCauliffe is a fighter and I personally like him

Good. I’m not a huge fan of McAuliffe either, but Puckett should be strung up by his toes and flayed Bolton-style.

Yep he did. More specifically his daughter did. I don’t know whether McAuliffe could have done so, but revoking her nomination to be a state judge would definitely have been the right thing to do. Instead they all, including Mark Warner, kept wringing their hands to see if there was some other way they could patronize the Princess Puckett (who is not even all that well qualified to be a judge of any kind). (IMHO, that’s why senate election was as close as it was – Warner’s discussions broke in the three weeks prior to election.)
