Not nearly as much sewing for their jackets ! —

What a let down. Before I bought tickets to Tennessee I looked up “Sex Week”…its a mental heath exclusivity sensitivity thing. Shit. I guess Ill just go back to NOLA for the Gras instead.

What is it with hate-riddled southerners? Is it the climate? Is it the water? Do they have nothing better to do?

Here’s a photo of the good State Senator that sponsored the bill, Todd Gardenhire!
I wonder how soon it will be that Gardenhire will be outed for having sex with barnyard animals, a young boy or his wife’s poodle?

I wonder how much Pat McCrory had to pay each of them to get them to take the heat off of us? Hopefully it was Koch money rather than local tax dollars.

I think TPM needs a new daily column: “This Day in Douchebaggery”

Tennessee ranks 45th in revenue per public school student and has the 2nd highest rate of diabetes in the country. So spending money on bumper stickers and Bible bills makes total sense. I mean, you gotta have priorities.

Not too far off topic, but what is it with these Repuritans suddenly wanting to paste In God We Trust all over police vehicles? Did they learn nothing from Roy Moore?

Why don’t they go back to the Protect and Serve stickers first?

The legislation diverts the state money for the office to a scholarship program for minority engineering students

Of course, the catch is Tennessee will be arresting all of them as preteens for not stopping a fight…so no minorities will actually qualify.

I think we are headed to Civil War II.

And then the Federal Government cut off student tuition and research support to the University, because its Title IX office was closed by this legislation.

I think we are headed to Civil War II.

Dividing ourselves into two separate countries is starting to sound like a pretty good idea.

Next they will introduce legislation to defund the restrooms…

Honestly, I think there might be but it wouldn’t necessarily be the North v. the South but more like the South 1.0 v. the South 3.0.

There a million practical reason for using gender neutral language. For example the technical writer who is writing a user manual for a machine, or software someone is developing. You would never say he or she like only a man or women would be using it. You have know how write without using those pronouns or you could not do your job. Anything instructional, research papers, legal papers has to be in gender neutral language or they would sound very unprofessional

According to these fools, diversity is foolishness…

You just can’t make this nonsense up.

It’s outdated white supremacy, religious zealotry, plain and simple!

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Not to mention the university losing it’s accreditation. But who needs that.

BTW, this all started when the Office of Diversity wrote a (not particularly artfully worded) memo reminding UT offices that not all employees of the university were practicing Christians and that Christmas parties should be recast as more generic holiday parties. And then let the memo get posted to a web site that the right wing crazies could blow up on Fox News.

The increasing level of batshit crazy in this state stuns those of us who grew up here and thought Howard Baker was the model of a Tennessee Republican.
