The idea that history should be taught with an editorial slant is nothing new. I’d guess that many people become politicized to some degree when they realize for themselves that America is not the country that never fights bad wars, never does anything at the behest of major corporations, and never, ever forced any aboriginal Americans from their native lands.
So now the wingnuts are crying because the College Board has removed some of the “slant” from the history books. Too bad. The right wing is totally opposed to education. All they want is indoctrination. Next thing we will see is some group trying to start an American version of “Hitler Youth”.

I guess the wingnuts in Tennessee don’t want their smart kids to get college credit for a college level course. The board was smart enough to realize the AP end game hurts Tennessee kids. Good for the board.

Not to worry. All this BS will stop after the election. promoting 2 years off free college after graduation. 1 out of 10 might pass the qualification. Haslan’s Commerical says, tenn has lowest debt in country, put 175,000 to work, lowered taxes etc etc. All state jobs on infracture is stopped, no more money, 9 1/2 % food tax, Tn satellite tax tax tax tax etc etc on everything imaginable. they just keep feeding stupid. Admendent 1 basically says, get pregnant no matter how and you are going to give birth even if you die with cancer before due date. I guess they have to keep stupid going to get votes.
But the funniest is, weather news when that stupid bitch says " we are the first in the country to have live doppler radar" while they just got it 6 months ago.
Been here 3 years, not going to make 4. Breaking news every morning and night and it’s always, guns, murder, robberies, home invasions. 1500 meth labs busted so far, complete family murders, and a corker of a senator who doesn’t even know what is going on outside Nashville. Lamar just keeps piling up retirement money and misses most votes. Pathetic state of affairs. Country music row in nashville?? ha ha ha ha ha a football field is longer. Education??? in this state??? not even remotly considered as a priority unless it’s election season. LOtto money goes for education and they steal it from public schools to promote private schools for profit for those important children. Another words, beleive what they promote, move here, see the truth and get the hell out of here. Absolutly caught me by surprise.

Every once in a while there comes a pleasant surprise from an unexpected corner. Good for the TN BoE to recognize that the content of history books should be for historians to discuss, and not for politicians to meddle with. Should be fairly obvious, but in this day it counts as a stellar intellectual achievement.
