Discussion: Tenn. Guv Skeptical Of Bill To Remove Islamic 'Indoctrination' From Schools

Tossing out lies to a Tea Party crowd is akin to handing Keith Richards a razor and a mirror.

Committing the act of skepticism is a high crime and misdemeanor, running with the sheep divine.

Rep. Blackburn of course provided no evidence of such “indoctrination.” She heard about it from a friend who forwarded her an e-mail, no doubt. Pathetic. Such stupid people are now roaming the halls of Congress…the horror! The horror!!

Of course the Puritans worst contribution to posterity may be the state of today’s harmful lack of intelligent sex education that slut shames teen age girls and teaches abstinence as the only “moral” option.

I’ll bet $100 that they are required to learn and recite the Ten Commandments!

So why not a mere 5 tenets of Islam?

Difference = none!

Wait until they find out where algebra comes from…

The word algebra is a Latin variant of the Arabic word al-jabr. This came from the title of a book, Hidab al-jabr wal-muqubala, written in Baghdad about 825 A.D. by the Arab mathematician Mohammed ibn-Musa al-Khowarizmi.

It is interesting to note that the word al-jabr used non-mathematically made its way into Europe through the Moors of Spain. There an algebrista is a bonesetter, or “restorer” of bones. A barber of medieval times called himself an algebrista since barbers often did bone-setting and bloodletting on the side. Hence the red and white striped barber poles of today

One of the most successful tricks the RWNJs have pulled is conflating the Pilgrims and Puritans with the Founders, even though they were separated by 140 years or so and had totally different ideas on religion.

Not far enough. We must ban arabic numerals.

Roman numerals or bust!

Damn. Beat me to it.

I am always amazed at how “the Pilgrims” are thought of as being the first permanent English settlers in what was to become the United States. It’s like the Jamestown settlement in the Colony of Virginia never occurred, much less some 13 years before the “pilgrim’s” Plymouth Colony.

“It is time for a Council on Christian Relations…”

Most certainly. I am sick and tired of all that Islam indoctrination every Christmas and Easter season. You’d never know Christianity even existed, what with all the Muslim decorated fir trees and Muslim colored light bulbs, Islam wreaths, the jolly old fat white-bearded Imam and all his little ISIS elf helpers, Mohammad decorations, Mohammad in a manger mosque plays.

It’s about time that brave Marshburn woman tells it like she imagines it is.
