Oh i can see it all now…Joe Miller, Sharon Angle, Michelle O’Donnell, Sarah Palin, Joe Walsh and Allen West, with special guests(and hopefully future losers) Ted Cruz, Louie Gohmert, Steve King and Donald Trump spending a week helping the republican party take back the senate by demanding impeachment and deporting 11 million people and calling to end the NLRB, the EPA the dept of Labor and Education. A sure winner of a campaign plan, it worked so well before. Go for it all JoeJo…

This is the gift that keeps on giving. I just wish it had struck six months earlier, before the primaries, to get all the wingnuts on the public record.
By November impeachment fever will be in full swing, the public will be revolted, the Senate will be safely Democratic, and the House will be competitive.
The GOP is more or less finished as a party that can contend for the Presidency.
They’re destroying themselves – forcing politicians to adopt racist or politically nonviable positions as litmus tests, turning on key members of their coalition (the “crony capitalists”, etc.), putting the heads of leaders like Cantor on pikes, etc.
For a long time, we’ve been freaked out by this stuff – there are crazy people out there, and they might win! But now the crazy has metastasized to the point where it’s going to prevent them from winning outside of certain regions or massively gerrymandered districts.
The future of the GOP is almost identical to their present. They’re going to be able to block things in Congress for a long time, as they decline, and individual members of the party will be able to enrich themselves through various lobbying and demagogic media scams.
But basically, they’re done.
