Discussion: Syrians Gather In Capital In Defiance After U.S.-Led Airstrikes

Sounds like about 1/3 of Syria’s population doesn’t realize that they are being led by a clueless dictator, under Russia’s thumb.

How very American of them…

Next Trump tweet: “The Syrians will all greet us as liberators.”

I can’t read this article thinking it is a Democratic Society. What the hell was the point?

All of this could be avoided by letting Syrians relocate here. We have literally hundreds of thousands of acres of empty land in this country.

And every empty acre in those counties voted for Trump!

Syrian resettlement in Trump territory could serve multiple purposes. Like flipping a House seat or two.

At least when Dubya invaded Iraq he had a long term goal, however perverted and misguided it may have been. Cadet Bonespurs can’t even maintain consistency from one moment to the next. Not to mention consistency with the leaders of the armed forces.

O hell yes - W planned that war before he was ever president and that’s probably 3/4s of the reason he went with Cheney for his Veep.

Horrible plan - immoral, wrong in almost every conceivable way. But it was a plan.

The only thing donnie demonstrated was that Russian missile technology is advanced enough to derail ours. And that Mueller will not be distracted.

Once again, as well, Spanky demonstrated how terrified he is of Putin. Putin is holding something over him.

I was wondering how 110 missiles hitting three sites was not a bit of over kill. Now it seems clear only a small % actually even struck the sites but “mission accomplished “

FIFY, tena. US Gov. owns 640million acres. BLM alone manages 250million, which is mostly unsettled (no land is “empty”, just ask a termite).

Not in tena’s and mine, bub, El Norte is true blue.

FUKUS - says it all.

And we are closer to understanding just what it is that is being held over him.

Thank you all the way around - I thought I was underestimating.

The empty acres in Northern New Mexico voted for Bernie, I think.

I know Taos did.

I still vote in Dallas which Hillary carried by a huge margin - 30 something points.

Meanwhile, the right-wing-bubble people are reading headlines like:

Syrians Gather In Capital In Respect for U.S. After Airstrikes

“But the damage was limited, and a defiant Assad returned to episodic use of chlorine and perhaps other chemicals.”

Why is it being assumed so widely in American media – without cited evidence/authority – that Assad is producing and using chemical weapons?

I keep seeing “alleged” and “suspected” with regard to the attacks … but then that’s immediately followed-up with bald-faced assertions that Assad is pursuing a chemical-weapons program. If his “episodic” use of chemical weapons has been proven, I’d like to see a list of those occurrences along with the corroborating evidence.

Where’s the proof?
