This is confounding. How could they leave their 6 month old baby? I don’t understand that type of behavior.
And sadly now Mr. Khan will likely be subject to death threats himself from Hannity et al enhanced right-wing outrage. I hope he is given some protection.
Mr. Khan did the right thing coming out very early on and expressing his condolences. I don’t know any of the back story here, but I really do feel for this man and his family. They must be pretty shaken.
It’s unfathomable.
Thanks again, NRA!
Nobody has done something similar for the PP shooter. Yeah, that other mass shooting this week that will promptly be ignored by all the media because it involved a white guy…who weirdly enough survived a concerted police assault upon his position.
This senseless slaughter will only embolden pigs like Darn Old Trump who will raise the heat of words and will demand further inhumane immigration policies for primarily brown-skinned people. If he were at all consistent, he’d tell Canadians to line up for a rectal exam too.
“I have no idea — why would he do that?”
Perhaps to stimulate the economy. Gun sales will be way up today.
That guy was a recluse and a loner, so who on earth needs to express anything for him? In this case, these people seem like a pretty tight family, so this guy very admirably stepped up and expressed remorse on behalf of his family. Had this couple been living in a cabin and out of touch with the world, this guy probably would not have made a statement, nor should he in that case. Two completely different situations from a family point of view.
Nonsense. The media now just has two stories to work with. In fact, that asshole is still alive, so his court case and such will get all kinds of media attention after this story fades since these perps are dead. For now, this is the big story of the next few days for sure, just like the PP attack was the big story for a few days after it happened. The notion that the media will now drop the PP attack story is just not going to happen. The media loves to sell shooting stories, they don’t give a damn who does it.
Very rarely do the family members of shooters come forward so quickly to offer condolences and it’s even rarer for them to do it in person, it’s usually a brief statement asking for privacy. The most recent example I can think of was the father of the Umqua shooter who was then disgustingly criticized and blamed for the attack by Bobby Jindal. I’m guessing CAIR urged the brother-in-law to help them get out in front of this thing as soon as possible.
Do you think Donnie will take responsibility for the death of Farhan Kahn by gun violence by one of his Trump-ites who has more guns than brains??
A member of the family of the Boston marathon bombers spoke to the press a short time after the end of the hunt for them. He was angry about their behavior.
Actually, at least one and I believe two of his ex-wives came forward and said they were completely unsurprised that he had done something like that.
Yes, it happens, and what else do the families of the Boston Marathon Bombers and the San Bernardino shooters have in common? Hmmm.
With three ex-wives and at least 3 children, as well as a number of live in girl friends over the years, including the one he moved to Colorado with.
His last divorce was 15 years ago.
And for the record, one ex-wife did have a few things to say, even though the last time she saw him was 7 years ago, a brief visit. Perhaps you missed it.
Two before 1985, one in the 1990’s.
The guy was a loner and a recluse, like I said. Completely different family situation to Mr. Faroook, who seemed to have a more stable overall situation and a current relationship with his brother in law who made this very nice statement. Meanwhile the PP Nuts ex wife had not seen him for at least 8 years, and only for a day. Completely different situation.
a white guy…who weirdly enough survived
Ah, nice bit of sarcasm amidst showing understanding. That’s ‘weirdness’ is, of course, quite fathomable.
