Wow he’s stupid. If you believe her “deal” wasn’t imaginary from the get-go and that she wasn’t just fabricating cover for giving head to the plutocrat donors she’s courting for her gubernatorial run, then you have brain damage. Kabuki Theater. Fake deal. Never really existed. She knows that, but she made a show of it for cover with her constituents and will now make a show of how upsetting it is that she’s being “betrayed.”
She’s not different than the others and she has figured out that this is the way, at least for Maine, that the “I’m not raping you, I’m not raping you, I’m not raping you…” game works.

From my brief time living in Alabama, i have no problem believing this sort of BS. And slugs are snails without their shells. And minnows grow into catfish if thrown in a lake. And they’re not racist if they hire black people to do menial jobs. Not making that up. The American South is an entirely different culture where the rules of the modern world do not apply.

It won’t be Strange, it’ll be someone else. Strange, having lost the primary, has already said he doesn’t want reappointment.
But other than the Strange appointment, yes, that’s the GOP plan.

The Senate has broad authority here. Being thrown off the state supreme court twice could qualify as grounds for expulsion, for example.
It won’t go down this path because of policy and political issues.
