This is basically an assault by a GLBTQ person on all the gains that GLBTQ persons have made. What kind of selfish jerk would basically try to damage the entire system of same-sex adoption to get back at a former partner? Not a good example of being a mommy. In the words of the columnist about divorced family, āthis is not good ex-behaviorā.

Roberts will do his best to limit 4-4 decisions this term to allow his party to point to functioning SC as reason to deny the black guy another pick.
make no mistake, Roberts is as partisan as Scalia. He just had more tact.
The same way that California intervened in an already settled divorce in Mi and told the Mi courts that they had to send the Child Support payments to them rather than the chidrens mother. And then made all kinds of threats, including claiming that the father had missed payments, even tho the Mi courts had absolute proof-in the form of canx checks by the CA child support-that all payments were made. My younger brother at least got that taken off his credit report. Which he had to do over and over again. Ca threatened to put out a warrant for his arrest for failure to pay child support. Which was paid. My younger brother, a judge in Mi at that time, then hired a big time lawyer in LA who sued the CA child support agency for fraud among other things, and 2 or 3 years later(this was in the early 90s) won a big settlement that he isnāt supposed to talk about.
I have to wonder just how many men got screwed over by the CA child support agency, and how many could not afford to hire a lawyer and just paid, even tho they also had proof they paid and that the CA child support had nothing to do with anything as the entire divorce/child support agreements had nothing at all to do with Ca.
Sorry for this rant, but it just made me very mad to realize what non court state agencies, other than cops confiscating every penny you are carrying along with everything else you own just on their word you were carrying/selling drugs.
There are so many ways that the state(any state + federal govt) can fuck up your life, especially if you did nothing wrong-or killing you when they break into the wrong address on a no knock warrant and kill the homeowner who tried to shoot the crazy people breaking into his house

Ah - full faith and credit. I was wondering when Iād see that - itās good to see.
I got forced into practicing family law in one law firm I briefly worked in, because I was the only woman. In fact, being a Domestic Relations practitioner is the best way I know as a lawyer to get yourself killed.
