Discussion for article #228835

Guess those new glasses didn’t convince the 6 members of the Court that pRick was all that smart.

I can’t wait for the day when women make up the majority of SCOTUS. Maybe then we can stop fighting this stupid, spiteful fight.

We need to be the party that replaces Scalia and Thomas. Those two legal hacks have caused more damage to this country than anyone south of McCarthy or Benedict Arnold.

Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas said they would have ruled against the clinics in all respects.

Not on constitutional basis of course but becuz…

I don’t really think Clarence takes his religion into consideration; I think he just follows whatever Scalia says/does. Half the time, I think he’s asleep.

I can’t stress enough how important it is as to who occupies the White House when Supreme Court Justices are nominated. It is infuriating to hear people rail that Dems and Republicans are exactly alike. Hopefully situations like this are a wake up call.

I get Alito and Scalia. Their venality is open and evident. With Thomas, every time Alito and/or Scalia pass gas, he gets bad breath.

If the Texan men don’t like abortions so much, maybe they should stop making babies and spend more time with their sheep.
Yes, I’m being derogatory to the yahoos that pretend to care about abortions more than their live, living partners, sisters, mothers, nieces and hook-ups but not 100%

They don’t care, and this is just another phony Republican issue devised to conquer and divide. The brainless religious followers will be Republican voters for eternity if they just get the proper lie told to them and keep being told what they want to hear. Forget putting thought into the whole subject, just get riled and invent enemies because someone is being naughty.

Summary:

Abortions are performed by doctors. Doctors provide health care services to patients.

Texas, as a state, wants to prevent (block) patients (citizens) from getting heath care. Perry’s responses to the PP-ACA and Medicare Expansion programs certainy support the above.

If we really want to address the abortion issues in Texas …

How about before any woman can get declined an elective abortion, she must name the last five male partners she’s been with and they are then required by law to get a vasectomy?

It probably wont happen in your lifetime and if it does who to tell we wont have women like Sarah Palin and Bachmann on the bench?

“Hilltop Women’s Reproductive Services in El Paso has been referring women who want abortions to another clinic it owns in New Mexico”

Next up: TX fundamentalist conservative Christians try to make laws banning out of state referals.
