sounds like he passed the malfunction drill.
Giving new life to the word: irony!
So who was the good guy with a gun in that scenario? I’m confused…
It’s very small of me to say this, but I have a hard time having sympathy here.
(On one level, yes, something like this is a tragedy – on another level, it’s, well, ironic.)
This class, while jerry-rigged, is one of the more thorough training options in the area. Almost all these “classes” are one-Teahadi operations; most are run in their garages or carports
As we are always reminded, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people”. It’s just a coincidence that a gun and a bullet happens to be involved every time.
See he really did need lessons.
There is probably some sort of lesson here to be learned about gun safety, misuse of guns, the lethality of guns, etc. Unfortunately Federal law bans learning anything relating to guns if a negative outcome is possible.
I wonder what the actuarial tables look like for “gun shop owner.”
Sometimes even if the good guy has a gun they get shot.
Right? Is there really not a mechanism/dummy gun/teaching tool one can use to clear a jam without using a real bullet? I would think that’s out there somewhere.
The concealed carry trainers should be required to have admitting privileges at a hospital or be certified in prayer.
That’s not the half of it. Your clientele consists almost entirely of angry, clueless goobers. You’re in a store full of lethal weapons. What could possibly go wrong?
No. You’re being heartless. Here is what we actually want–responsible gun ownership! This was a class for teaching gun safety and a horrible accident happened in front of several innocent people who too want to be responsible gun owners. Did you see the store name? KJ–he’s J, who’s K–maybe his wife, his partner? This guy was doing the right thing–teaching people gun laws and gun safety and he lost his life. Period.
It’s an accident. I’m sorry for the widow and his family, I’m sure the student who shot the fellow in the neck has had their mental life destroyed by the incident too, and the other people there just have to deal with the PTSD leftovers until they make peace with what they saw.
Further proof that guns are dangerous, and should not be handed out willy-nilly, especially not to terrorists or other unstable people.
Yeah, and unicorns. We all want unicorns. And a piece of the True Cross. Throw in a unified field theory while you’re at it.
Ah, we done got ourselves another Darwin Award winner!
Does responsible gun ownership, and the teaching thereof, include lessons with newbies handling loaded guns inside a shop with more than a dozen other people present?
His heart may have been in the right place but his head and teaching techniques certainly were not.
Thoughts, prayers, blah blah blah ad nauseam…
Don’t dehumanize your political opponents. They aren’t much different than you and I.
