Can’t wait until Election Day so I can make my false choice vote! Too bad I can’t vote for a true progressive, since the two false choices say that would be a wasted vote for the other false choice.
AZ law requires that Senator appointed to fill a vacancy until the next scheduled election be of the same party as the Senator that held it before the vacancy. If McCain leaves the Senate after the midterm elections, it won’t matter who the Governor is, the replacement would have to be a Republican, and would serve until 2020 before facing an election.
Maddow has interviewed Weintraub. The sinking feeling set in immediately when I heard what she had to say about the FEC’s dysfunction and how we keep turning to it for fairness which will evidently never happen. But here’s another story which has no convenient place.

I live in CD8. I have lived here for over 20 years. I can tell you the energy on the ground is amazing. In our community there are tons of republicans that have voted for Hiral. And it should be noted that we have more independent voters that GOP or democrat in this district. Regardless of what happens Tuesday, we should be set up for a great run for this seat in November. Also, we have pulled away a huge chunk of independent and GOP voters from the base. This kind of swing in CD8 will affect statewide races. Living in Arizona my whole life, I can tell you that the winds are changing. We are not deep red anymore.
